Today is a good day to talk about the booth and not the game.

Sox went 4-11 against the NL West, winning only 1 series (2-1 against the Giants).

 

Got swept by both the Dodgers and DBacks.

Very sad loss in a pretty close to must win situation.

 

Coming close is getting tiring.

I agree, the Sox booth is not bad. Don't think it's great, either, but it's not bad.

 

This booth is OB, and the Yuckers. When you were brought up with Curt Gowdy, Ned Martin, and Ken Coleman who were top notch, and professional this group pales in comparison by a long shot.

SOX need 11 more wins to tie their W/L record of the the previous two seasons 78-84.

Can they finish 11-22?

They still have 17 more home games.

Unfortunately, hard to see them coming back from this Diamondbacks series.

I'm looking at our next 14 games, as well as KC's and others ahead of us, and am thinking the next 2 weeks should help decide the issue of holding onto hopes.

Bailing again? Sliver of hope? 33 games left, and only 4 out in the loss column does not seem like dire straights to me. I’ll admit the play at Fenway has been less than desirable, but it no time to bail on the team now. Of course I don’t twist, and turn according to witch way the wind is blowing like some do.

It's an isolated place, usually on the decline, to help deal with hitting the brakes... away from others racing down the highway... away from the race.

 

(you see them mostly out west, or in the Red Sox' case, west of Cape Cod)
