"Should the Yankees be concerned?"

For giving up 9 stolen bases in one game -- the most in the entire existence of the Boston Red Sox, American League club for over 120 years?

Answer: they have Judge! Aaron Judge! When's he up again? When will he take off his cap in the dugout, and hold his helmet? Look, he almost smiled!

Nine stolen bases. In one game. For the Red Sox.

For some perspective here, I think it was the 1983 Red Sox that had a total of 10 stolen bases - AT THE ALL STAR BREAK!

Are those people who said the Red Sox gave away Hunter Renfroe for nothing changing their tune? David Hamilton looks like a decent return.

2024 stats

Hamilton: 1.0 bWAR

Renfroe: -0.3 bWAR

And they didn't even come in ballgames! Eck, Oil Can and the Remdog hijacked a sporting goods truck on Comm Ave. and swiped a dozen bags... but they donated a few to an American Legion team, so only got credit for 10 SBs.

Vegas starts the thread and the SOX break a record. Anyone who had under on 8.5 stolen bases loses.

It's still your thread and streak. I was just PH'ing, although it did turn into an inside the Park HR.

Continue on tomorrow, Vegas. I illegally started last night's thread so just keep it going. Hopefully, the SOX won't be emotionally drained for tomorrow's game against the Jays.

That's fine. Well done, both of you. As moonslav says, 4 of 6 from the Phillies and Yankees ain't too shabby.

We need Old Red to jump in and tell us yet again that the Sox are just mediocre.

14 Hits, 9 SBs, 6 BBs and a real nice game from Crawford and the pen.

A few said that. Many said taking back JBJ and his contract was the worst part of the trade.

I remember saying that Bloom must see something in DHam or Binelas that nobody else sees, because the trade was a real "head-scratcher, otherwise."

At what point do we start to believe this is sustainable?

This may have been the best week of Boston baseball since 2018. To take both series against previously strong pitching is amazing but to see the youngsters in the lineup maturing is a great sign.

It will become sustainable if the team can take the Jays' series

Can't seem to gain on MIN, who has won 5 straight.

Some numbers going up these last few days, including Rafaela nearing the .650 mark, (Is that the new Mendoza Line?)

.924 Devers (Career high)

.878 Refsnyder (Out of his mind, this year)

.857 Casas (We need you back, son!)

.857 Wong (Been awfully consistent, this year)

.848 O"Neill (When does the Yoshida leash get reigned in?)

.829 Abreu (Need you back, too!)

.816 Duran (17 SB)

.786 DHam (18 SB and the shocker of the season among batters)

.748 Westbrook (Beats about 90% of our 2Bmen for over 5 years.)

.681 Yoshida (Might be benched, if he doesn't wake up)

.668 E Valdez (Was in the .400s, going into June.)

.651 Romy G (Went nutty, tonight w Woo)

.647 Rafaela (Padding his team RBI lead)

.636 Smith (.920 since May 31st may force Dalbec to use up his 9th life)

.621 McGuire (Not sure what happened to his bat, but he's been a master with the staff)

.421 Dalbec (Will we finally see a DFA?)
