Basically Rafaela, Duran and Wong are only future major league starters and Rafaela has a ways to go. Ref is a valuable bench player, not a full timer.

You won't win too many games with that lineup.

Sell, sell, sell....maybe we'll get something similar to Abreu, hopefully a young starter with potential.

No Abreu love?

His off-arm splits are as bad as Duran's.

I think you misread my post....I said sell sell sell and hopefully we'll get someone like Abreu in return, maybe a pitcher with same ability/upside as Abreu.

He is one of my favorite players on this team. He's a gamer. To me he's a Red Sox.

We're 10th in runs scored, 4th in ERA among 30 teams. Should we be better than .500? Obviously our defense has something to do with that.....ugh. 2 more unearned runs today.

So the bench is depleted with 3 innings to play , unless Devers can somehow gut it up for an AB, but that would make him play the field too . Cora is screwed if this goes extra innings. If any of the survivors stubs a toe, we will see a pitcher play a position.

Refsynder kills the big inning with a double play grounder. He sucks.

Hey, he hit the ball and got the run in. How many times this year have we seen K, K and then a lazy fly ball in that situation?

Running one inning relievers out there for multiple innings just highlights more organizational weakness. Expecting a find like Bernandino to consistently to get you scoreless innings is a case of FO overexpectations.

Who are you selling?

Who are you selling?

Pivetta and Jansen.

O'Neill and Martin need to comeback and play well to have some trade value.

McGuire and Anderson have little to some value.

I guess they thought giving all the SP'ers an extra days rest was worth the trade-off.

The pen gets the day off, too, so all one IP guys will be available on Tuesday.

I'm not defending the choice, but it does make some sense, when you look at 3 of our SP'ers with an ERA over 6, the last 4 weeks.

You also eventually get to one guy who doesn’t have it on a given day. The more guys you use, the more likely it will happen.

He’s been Houdini several times this year. Eventually that fails.

Before today, he did have 10 BBs in 25 IP, but only 10 hits (no Hrs, just 1 2B and 1 3B) makes it no so lucky.

He had a 0.800 WHIP and a .404 OPSA!

Jansen and Martin to start. Pivetta unless Sox has a clear idea of what to do to retain him. O'Neill.

I want to know who in the Sox organization thought it was good idea to get Cooper? I've never seen anyone so pathetic. He looks the part too.

Oops, he just got his second hit in June.

8th inning and I still don’t know what this ump’s strike zone is. Very inconsistent.

Westbrook has two obvious balls called strikes, including strike 3. Cooper has two strikes called balls.

I have seen more bad calls in the series against the Sox than I can remember seeing in any other series this year. Yesterday and today the homeplate ump has been brutal.

Can we just be done with Bobby Dalbec? He can't hit major league pitching. Its torture to watch him up there. DFA him now.

Have to wait until after the game . Don't want to irritate Devers knee.

Agreed on poor ball/strike calls. Just not right either way. The inconsistency is a killer to hitters. Having said that, swing the bat if you are not an established player

I can surmise that Cora wants Kenley to get a good workout because he is unlikely to get any chances this coming week.

Dalbec is a sad tale of inability meeting opportunity but not recognizing it.

I believe the 'inability' part negates the 'opportunity' part.

I think you could have ended the post at 'tale.'

Westbrook shows what can happen when you swing the bat instead of trying to parse the pitch. And for those who don't care for Refsnyder, well who else does this team have right now. He, at least, is on the field
