Jansen is high with the majority of his pitches, then can't quite get the corner. Tells me his back problems are preventing him from a full follow through on his motion. The guy is going to be a problem, even if he does save this one

He’s also just 26 in only his 3rd season, in his second season he finished 8th in CY young voting last year, and in the year prior he was 6th in ROY and came into the season ranked by BA as the 12th prospect on the game.

He’s the exact type of player most teams would covet right now.

He also pitched in two playoff games, one game was 7 shut out innings in a start, the other was a scoreless save out of the pen. Hes awesome

The defense of last year has returned.

Not sure why Cora leaves defensively questionable Enmanuel Valdez in a one-run game while Pablo Reyes sits on the bench…

I was thinking the same thing. That has been the plan so far. But wait, maybe Reyes wasn't available.

Thank you inept A's. Sox were only slightly less inept today but it goes as a W in the book, which is the stat that counts. Kenly in back to back closes, throws 26 then 21 pitches. Give the man the day off tomorrow, AC. Kenley will get hit hard throwing high zone against good batters

Happy with a sweep even if it is against one of shittiest teams I’ve ever seen.

Really? They looked just awful in game 1, but not half bad in games 2 and 3 in which the Heels won each by 1 run.

Kirby has a career 3.30 ERA. He’s legit good and just had a bad day
And his ERA against us is 0. We make him look better than he is.

We have been making all the pitchers we face look like All Stars.

Every season, almost every good team has a losing record vs some poor team.

It's nice to get the job done, even if the expectation was to win.

Before, this series, I think most of us would have been thrilled to be 2-2 v SEA and 2-1 v OAK. I'm really hoping we can go 2-1 or 3-0 v LAA.

A sweep is a sweep. 5-2 after the first 7 is fine by me!

His career post season ERA is also 0, including 7 shutout innings against the World Series champs that season. He’s just a good pitcher

Prior to the last start, Sox were one of the better hitting teams against Kirby. He’s a great pitcher. If you don’t think so then you don’t know ball.

Actually George Kirby was an All Star last year…

Doesn’t matter guys; his mind is made up. No amount of contrary data or facts will change it.

The only 'Kirby' I know that sucks is the vacuum cleaner.
