Brady should buy the Sox...maybe someone like that would actually care about winning again. Henry, Kraft...I think both have habitually sucked since our last titles. Sure it's business, but I guess once you reach the mountain top, then it's okay to in turn mail it in.

I completely blame ownership. Just like I have congratulated ownership in the past. Both go hand and hand. When Henry and Kraft wanted it, they were all in, then after the titles not so much.

I wonder if the overall low expectations for the Sox this year has kept some of the rabble of the game threads…

Rabble, rabble.

And some people are able to hide their nefarious activities for 7 years before finally getting caught! Despicable.

My belief is that kimmi should have created an alt account after the first one was overloaded with dudes DMing her.

Is Kimmi gone? I know she found some posters unpleasant.

The popularity of the team is waning. It is a real problem for the ownership. Complainers are viewers. They have made the team too uninteresting for them.

The best pitching acquisitions this year may just be Breslow and Bailey.

Just saw a chart that shows the Sox' pitchers last in the bigs in throwing four-seam fastballs so far (10.9%).

Boston may not have a lot of guys pushing 100 mph, but the choices of pitches are a strategy. The club throwing the most four-seamers (41.8%) is the Angels-- last in the AL in ERA -- whose pitching hasn't been a strength since probably the days of KRod (Frankie Five-Fingers Tanana says hi).

Through 5 games:

#1 in pitching fWAR

#1 in BB/9

#1 in K/9 (only 2nd in Starter K/9)

#1 in ERA

#1 in xFIP (relievers #1 xFIP too)

If Joely was shot into the sun, would this be the greatest pitching squad of all time?

You seem to like shooting people into the sun. What do you have against the sun?

"Consciousness does not need to be confined to brains," Sheldrake told Popular Mechanics in its new story. "The link between minds and physical systems seems to be through rhythmic electromagnetic fields, which of course are present in our brains. They are also present in and around the Sun, and these could be the interface between the solar mind and the body of the Sun."

@SoxNotes

The Red Sox’ 1.54 ERA is their lowest through 7 games in the Live Ball Era (1920-present).

The Sox have allowed 4 runs or fewer in each of their 7 games (4, 1, 4, 1, 0, 4, 0).

Let’s wait more than 7 days to start throwing Cy Youngs around!

LOL!

I dunno.

Nick Pivetta has a 0.82 ERA. That means he’s on pace for a 0.82 ERA…

I agree. Give Bello a chance to be a respectable pitcher again.

Seems on the high end TBH.
