I think the disconnect between Werner and Henry's public statements are deliberate strategy on their part. They speak in broad generalities and is generally meaningless. The are like every politician; their public words are merely to placate whatever audience they are speaking to at that moment.

The reason politics may creep into the conversation is because the Red Sox have become BORING. The FO has to fear indifference over any other emotion when it comes to the Older Towns Team. Right now the Pickle Ball professional tour is more interesting than the Red Sox.

Expect NESN to run Candle Pin Bowling re runs hosted by Don Gillis. Watching Stacia Czernickl is more exciting than any Red Sox player.

Why would the budget be reduced from last year if it's not even close to hitting the CBT to begin with? If the prospects don't work out, what is the next phase of bridge planning? Were you unhappy with the amount of candidates that backed out of the interview process for the CBO position and what does that say about the perception of this franchise across the league? The outlook of this team is as poor as it has been since pre-1967 with the numerous below .500 seasons. Is the pressure of trying to follow a sustainable model in the manner of the Rays maybe too difficult a task? Would using financial might while developing a farm system be better like the Dodgers? How do you feel about the unnamed FO sources that have spoken out against Crag since he has been hired? Do you think it would be better to have everyone on board and supporting him?
