Way to start the day with another thoughtful contribution.

Can not help it but you are so funny. It brightens the day. You take yourself way to seriously. This is not the editorial page of the Globe and Mail

Maybe he does do that, but even when he criticizes Bloom there is always a but in there.

So, trying to see the full picture, as hardly anything is all black and white, is a fault?

It's being wishy-washy?

It's being a flip-flop?

It's being a man with no convictions?

He's not "my guy" and never has been.

I had hopes the guy could build us into a consistent winner and point out some of the things he did well or seems to have done well, along with being critical and highly critical, where I felt it was needed and justified. Because some of those places you felt it was justified, for that I am labeled.

I didn't bash him enough for you, and Red and others, so he's "My guy," I'm a "Bloom lover," I'm an "apologist."

I can live in the black and white world you guys seem to gravitate towards, but you guys seem hell bent on bringing me there or tearing me down for trying to see some bright spots in all this mess.

Have at it. It seems to bring you pleasure.

You mean like doing the wild card standings updates only when things looks good, or wishing to play the Yankees, and Toronto when things are going good. How did that work out lately? The Wild card standings update would be seeing the full picture, but for the second year in a row you stopped. Hmm.

From the day Bloom got hired I said it was a bad move, and unfortunately I was right, and the Red Sox have suffered, because of it with a most likely last two years being a losing last place in the Div team, and only dreaming of being in the postseason. Bloom being fired brings me pleasure, but the reason he was fired, because of the results of the WL record does not. It’s been painful to watch the last two years for not only me, but lots, and lots of fans. For you to say Bloom is not your guy is like me saying Bloom is my guy.

Sometimes it seems you do defend Bloom too much. Yes he made a few good moves but many more bad ones and the truth is 3 last place finishes in 4 years is just not acceptable. bTW--when did we pick up Robertson and Weiss??

Bloom is gone. Time to move on. The King is dead!, Long live the King. The question that is paramount is will JH allow the new HOBO to pick his own manager and coaches and give him a budget that allows the team to contend.

Again, why does this bother you? It's fully understandable to stop posting them, when it doesn't matter.

It's not being a flip-flop or anything.

I've asked you this several times. You refuse to answer. What the beef?

I stop when my optimism wains. Shoot me!

Half ass job at best, and bail out of that boat again.🙈

I guess you know my thoughts better than I do.

I like a lot of what Bloom has done to prepare the team for the future. He failed to get results along the way, except for the brief 2021 run.

Last winter, was his make of break "legacy" moment, and he failed.

I ended up defending him way too often, but not out of love or admiration for the guy, but because you and others made baseless attacks on him over things that were out of his control or mostly out of his control. You assume those defenses meant I was a Bloom lover, and you assumed wrongly.

For someone who goes bat crazy over false assumptions, like me saying you hate Cora, I find in hypocritical of you to make so man false assumptions over my positions and beliefs.

Yes, I did think Bloom was the type of GM we needed to rebuild the farm and foundation, but I hardly knew anything about him for me to be "my guy" on day 1 or 365 or 730. He was handed an extremely difficult task, which you choose to deny or ignore. He failed in the area that matters most to you, but still matters to me, too- winning at the ML level. I cut him more slack than you and others, due to that context and for that he was "my guy?"

Your logic is twisted.

You will believe what you want, but defending someone against false attacks does not make anyone a Bloom guy. Adding context and facts is not an act of love. It's an act of truth.

I am 100% sure about this: if baseless attacks were never made against Bloom, you'd think I did not like him. My defenses were mostly responses to people who were over reaching to find things wrong with him.

Robertson was a return for Kike.

Weiss was a waiver guy.

Yes, you are bailing again on answering why it matters to you, and what it is you think I did wrong.

How can I answer when I don't know what the problem is?

I don’t believe there is anyone on here past, or present who would not say Bloom was your guy. You still don’t get that improving the farm rankings was not the #1 priority, but getting into the postseason was. If making the farm better along the way happened great, but be a losing last place in the Div team not so great.

So, a poll of what the majority thinks my beliefs are matter more than what I know my beliefs are?

Yes, I value the farm and foundation more than you. I've also said we don't know for sure how good Bloom's farm is, and that is mostly speculative. I'd prefer a farm most think looks very good to one most think looks pretty bad.

That does not make me a "Bloom guy." I'm not sure why you are so fixated on confirming that belief of yours.

Of course someone who values the foundation more than the here and now will view things differently, but why does everything have to be so black and white with you?

You either are a "Bloom guy" or not. There can never be an in between. Why?

I like some of what he did and dislike or are neutral on some other things.

I've consistently graded his overall grade around a "C."

Why is thinking a guy is around a C a "Bloom guy?"

I admit, I never disliked him as much as you, and to you, that's all it apparently takes to throw meaningless and false labels on people.

What you are doing is no different than me saying you "hate Cora." The differences is, I respected your response that said you did not hate him, and I apologized and changed my opinion about your position. You can't do the same.

You know me better than I do, in your eyes. How dare anyone try to do that to you, however.

I would say JH views the here, and now differently from what you do, and that is why Bloom is gone. JH is not waiting to 2025, or beyond to get back in the postseason, nor should he, and just like all the fans like me who feel the same way.

Maybe, Probably.

I did say last winter was Bloom's make or break winter, so I'm not sure JH saw it much differently than I did.

I hate watching us finish in last as much as you and others. That is totally separate from how I feel about the direction of the team.

I'd prefer finishing in last and having hopes for the future than finishing in last or even 4th place and having little hope for improvement.

I could care less if you and others have little care about the future. I do think JH cares more about the farm and foundation than you do, or he'd have fired Bloom after 2022.

I'm still waiting for your answer about why my positing the standings when we are doing better is an issue.

You never answer, then blame me for not giving a clear answer to a problem I don't know even is or should exist.

Please tell me what is wrong with doing that.

While your at it, answer my other question:

You said you stopped watching baseball because it is watered down, but after Bloom's firing, you said you were going to start watching again.

What is that all about?

Is the league not watered down, anymore, or was it all about Bloom in the first place and not about watered down ball?

(I don't expect a true answer- only deflections and diffusions.)

JH can do whatever the f*** he wants. It's his team. That being said, he needed a scapegoat, and had a perfectly suitable Bloom sitting right there.
