Once again we’ve gone over this 100 times. You are trying to make it sound like I stopped watching BB as much, because the Red Sox were winning, which is 100% not true, and I have witnesses that can verify. On the other hand you JUMPED SHIP on the Red Sox in 2022 the fair weather fan that you are not the super fan you claim to be.

I watched every game in 22, even after I wanted a fire sale.

Witnesses, lmao. You left right when we were doing well and came back right when we sucked.

I admit when I’m wrong, which has been often- to your delight.

I’ll never see the same from you, and that is a fact.

See! It’s tit for tat, and I know you are, but what am I, which responds to criticism, and no content. It works both ways. Once again an objective third party would see that. The gang at the local PF love it all.

I give content and strive to not misrepresent others views.

You don’t.

More facts.

I wasn’t critizing you for giving up on the Sox, so bringing up how I did in 22 is not related to my point that you ran away and called baseball watered down at just the moment the Sox were doing well.

You came back just in time to pat yourself on the back and continue your “eye test” judgments despite admitting g you stopped watching.

We did not say you stopped watching: you did.

You then commented on the fact that you saw the box scores. It’s your own words.

Lynn and RLopez are off the boards.

For pitchers who have started less than 90 games the past three years, Lance Lynn led the majors in home runs allowed (81 HRs in 81 GS).

The only guys taken deep more are Lyles, Corbin and Giolito (who doesn't pitch half his games in Fenway; hope he never does).

Others close to Lynn: Cole, Nola and Taillon - 77 bombs each. Pivetta just missed the top 10, serving up 74.

Some dude at the athletic said he thinks it comes down to us and the Mets for Yamamoto!!!!!! Time for Henry to step up

“Some dude”? That’s gotta be credible!!

(Anyone who writes for The Athletic is pretty credible though.(

What is BTV anyway ? Is it some highly advanced, scientific player evaluation system ? Or is it just some guy with too much time on his hands playing around with different stats ? Does anyone know ?

It’s a way of placing a singular value on what a player of likely to be worth minus what he is paid or likely to be paid.

That value, in theory, makes finding somewhat reasonable return packages could be.

It beats fans saying let’s trade Dalbec, Reyes and Refsnyder for Cease.

The Card’s signing Gibson and Lynn looks like Bloom is their GM.

They are going with a 2015 Red Sox 5 aces rotation. Print up the damn shirts now!

But where does it come from ? How is it derived ? Who does it ? Is it some secret calculation or formula ?

I’m sure they have some formula, and IMO they seem pretty accurate considering an expected difference of opinion. My guess is they use some sort of WAR type value x years minus contract costs.

It’s not supposed to be perfect

Jays are looking to deal Bichette to the Cubs.

Why not us?

Bichette

for

Duran

Yorke

Whitlock or Winckowski

Bo would play 3B for the Cubs, so where would he play for the Red Sox. He’s not that good of a SS is he?

He’s a weak defensive SS. So he would play there and the Sox then trade Story to LAA for Trout.

It all works out…

It depends on if you like DRS or OAA. Aside from '22, he's been good via DRS. I'd just throw him at 2B and keep Story at SS.

He’s signed for 2 more years at $11M, and $16.5M, and he’s still only 25, so give Brez a call.

If Bichette is available, the Jays must be finally admitting they'll never win with him at shortstop (TV fans of the Sox and Yankees have realized this the past few years -- Bichette is Kike without the green shoes. Heave ho...).

But Bo knows batting -- AL leader in hits and BA the past three seasons. At 25, he could be Boston's elite righty bat for the next half decade.

I'm told someone who dabbles at SS could play anywhere -- so Bo and the Monstah can be good friends when he becomes Fenway's permanent leftfielder.

I was saying that just the other day to Hanley Ramirez..
