Between base running blunders and shoddy defense and other things I won't post in fear of angering someone, it's quite surprising this team is still over .500.

On the positive side I've liked Urias' offensive side so far. Looks like he wants to be the SOX regular 2nd baseman.

Can the SOX break the 3 run barrier? They've only done it once in the last 7 games.

4 runs today. In the lyrics of a KINKS' song "Catch me now, I'm falling."

3rd straight series loss. I guess it will just feel that much better when the team goes on a 15 game win streak, burns through the WC trash, takes the ALDS and ALCS in sweeps and then wins game 7 of the 2023 WS in a walkoff . Can't wait

Vegas, you've been watching the movie MAJOR LEAGUE too often.

Kenley was warming up to come in in the 9th. Possible he's not feeling well? Don't get the post game show, so maybe someone will find out why Jock was put in that situation.

Cora says the team took a step back, he is down on Verdugo for his own reasons, it was baserunning mistake thinking the ball was out. AC is not in a good mood, understandably so.

He added that this was his worst day in the organization since he came to Boston.

I'm not exactly happy about it either, but that still doesn't answer why Kenley didn't pitch in the 9th.

He was probably just warming up in case they tied the game or took the lead.

Whoever is the baserunning coach for the Red Sox should be fired. They are terrible. Although, McGuire must be stupid. What an idiot.

no s***. 3rd base coach is a gotdamn idiot.

he should. they are back in last place, his defense is worst in MLB, the bullpen is garbage, the third base coach is a moron and, apparently, Jensen can't pitch because ....he's being saved for tomorrow.

If Kenley was being saved for tomorrow, shouldn't that 'save' be added to his stats?

I would not have sent Jansen to pitch in a 9th inning in which the Sox were already down 4-3. He's a closer.

This was a game the Sox were determined to lose, what with two errors, an egregious baserunning error, etc. They got lucky when Devers reached down well below the strike zone to get a three run dinger that required perfect contact to get out.

Agree. The players can whine about them not adding pitching, but it’s the position players who consistently don’t advance runners. It’s the position players making physical and mental errors. Once in a while is one thing, but it’s too common.

Cora adamant about not saying why Verdugo didn’t play other than saying “today one guy wasn’t available”. Said there a chance he plays tomorrow.

Verdugo did something that really got to Cora.
