About a month or so ago I thought Crawford was the best candidate from the bullpen to go back to starting. Now I'm not so sure. But I sure don't want Kluber back out there. Pivetta would be better than Kluber, but right now he's pretty useful coming from the bullpen. Ort would be my absolute last choice for starter, but he wasn't half bad last time: 4 IP and 2 ER.

To be precise, it was 2.1 IP and 2 ER.

My bad. Just 2 days ago too. I was just thrilled it wasn't 4 runs in the first inning. After those 2.1 innings, Murphy went 2.2, Pivetta 3.0, and Martin 1.0 for 6.2 innings of shutout relief in the first game of the doubleheader vs the Yankees.

Five righty bats vs. righty starter Ober. This will teach Duran not to keep hitting doubles. :)

Ober is pretty tough. His ERA and WHIP has improve from year 1 to his 3rd year. Time to turn things around for the poor guy!

I'm hoping Kike can earn the 2B slot and keep Arroyo on the bench, where he may not get hurt.

Another player who couldn't hack playing under the bright lights of New York, but is performing quite well under the not so bright lights of Baltimore is Aaron Hicks.

Just hit a 3-run homer against the Rays and has been hitting over .300 since becoming an Oriole.

So, yes, Dalbec moving to a less pressured environment could be a significant positive change for him.

Glasnow has been spotty coming back from TJ. How about those marlins. Good young pitching staff.

Glasnow before tonight was 4-0 with a 2.10 ERA. That's not spotty.

Look at his starts a little wild. He’s getting destroyed tonight. His era was 3. 43 going in.

I watched an interesting video on youtube earlier titled The 25 most underrated players in MLB since 1950. The #1 most underrated player according to this presentation was the Tigers' Darrell Evans. Dewey was not on the list. Edited by SPLENDIDSPLINTER

Reyes's strain puts a strain on everyone , forcing Kike back to SS and getting Arroyo out of the dugout. That is a minus WAR any way you look at it. Crawford says no problem---I'll just K them all and it won't matter

Per the radio guys, Reyes is down with a abdominal strain and Hamilton was pulled from the Worcester’s game tonight.

You might say that Pablo's pulled abdominal has pulled Hamilton's time to meet his future rapidly forward. You know the Sox don't want to start his clock if they can help it.

O's-6 Rays-0

Rays going for their 3rd loss in a row. Hopefully, they won't stop there.

I'm kinda hoping BAL loses. We have a better chance passing them.

My thought too. The Rays are way out front, and we need to pass a couple others first

I don’t think the rays will run away with this division. Still feel like their hitting is suspect.
