When the pictures start dropping of him palling around with CZ of Binance and then the Sox really become Tampa North, don't be mad at me.

Tampa has made the playoffs 3 years in a row and looks poised to win the division next year. Would Tampa north really be all that bad right now???

No buyer. No money. Many creditors. Poor house. Barrel wearer. Sox bad.

Has he put the trophy wife back in the case yet?

0 rings. Depressing indoor stadium. Their all time franchise player is Rocco Baldelli.

She is a very accomplished woman who was heavily involved in Liverpool’s affairs. Unsure if she has outlived her usefulness.

A lot of teams have zero rings over the past couple decades, I mean if that's the unit of measure we have the best ownership in baseball.

FWIW, Bloom didn't bring anyone over, it's largely still the red sox front office +Bloom and the same ownership that has the most rings in baseball this millennium.

I was about to hit the post, then I realized the audience here and realized this is going to get a lot of the rapid bloom haters all hot and bothered so let me just state this by no means defends Bloom or compels people to act is if the FO doesn't deserve criticism. But it serves as a point and in the spirit of devil's advocate. But to go back to my original post, I don't think Boston is becoming "Tampa North" but I was pointing out that that wouldn't be the worse thing given their recent track record. They're still a playoff team, and have the capacity to win the east next year, maybe even win the whole dang thing.

It's still really surprising that Bloom hasn't brought anyone over from Tampa. That system pumps out some good players. Maybe it's more due to them trading away their guys and receiving prospects from other teams? IDK. Weird though.

The Rays are far more consistent year in and year out since 2008 than almost any other team in the division (excluding NYY).

Tampa has made the playoffs FOUR years in a row. This is a big difference because Boston has never done that. Never…

Maybe the real concern is being Faux Tampa Bay North.

Counterpoint:

Batted ball that strikes either of the upper catwalks (known as the 'A-Ring' and the 'B-Ring'), including the masts that support each of those catwalks as well as any angled support rods that connect the 'B-Ring' to the masts that support the 'C-Ring' in fair territory: In Play. If caught by fielder, batter is out and runners advance at own risk.

Batted ball that is not judged a home run and remains on a catwalk, light or suspended object: Two Bases.

Batted ball strikes catwalk, light or suspended object over foul territory: Dead Ball.

Maybe we should bring in some people from the NYY front office.

If the Rays had NY's budget, they would be at the tippy top IMO.

or the former GM of the Champion Astros.

Even the guys at SoxProspects have suggested as much even just for a year. Give him some phoney title and overpay him. The Sox clearly like their guys, but this is a results driven business. I'm not sure BOH has really shown us much at this point.

I'd like to see us find a way to fit Click into our management structure- somehow.

He made some good moves in the short time with the Astros, and the Rays Way plus money seems to work.

I always thought the fear with being Tampa North had more to do with budgets and baseball. Apparently there are also fears we replicate their stadium.

Maybe a name change too. Like maybe we can be the Boston Famous Original Rays. Or is that moniker more fitting for a New York team?

It was a catchy phrase that fit the frugal winter spending budgets in 2020 and 2021.

The Rays color scheme is better than the Sox color scheme.
