Well, he does keep reminding us of how bad the pitching must be in WOO.

Forget that the pitching through 9 innings held the Jays to 2 runs. How many LOBs did the failure to hit leave out there when the game was easily winnable. I will put as much of the failure of this team on the majority of the position players who could not hit when needed, sometimes not even making contact , much less a hit.

See if the boys can force the tying run from 2nd to 3rd with less than two outs. At least that gives two chances at keeping it going. I only say that because obviously a home run is out of the question

Amazingly, he still has an option left, so it's also how bad the pitching is on the 26, too.

Henry needs to sell the team. He has instructed Bloom to reduce payroll and no one is going to want to play here for him any more.

I saw JD taking BP on the backfields in Spring Training 2020, and his bat slowed. He had an awful 2020 shortened season, but then he had an excellent bounce back season on ‘21. He certainly looks finished, but who knows for sure.

Most teams can score a guy from second with no outs; it’s almost a given. Key in extras is font give up the second run, which he didn’t.

 

The Red Sox consistently can’t even advance a guy from second, much less score him.

The one positive from tonight was Bello looked pretty good.

Superb game even though the Sox lost at a time when they really can't afford to. Bello was dazzling compared to his other starts and show a good fastball, slider, and especially changeup--in addition to good command. The lineup was missing some guys plus the RISP disease continues to limit the Sox scoring. No errors, no dumb baserunning. Even Brasier recovered after that leadoff double in the 10th and didn't allow another run--and the one that was scored was unearned. Barnes and Whitlock and Schreiber held the Jays scoreless for 4 innings.
