What’s worse Bloom bringing DHern back up, or Cora putting him in the game when Whitlock had been warming up. I’d say all of the above.

Now Cora argues nonsenses. He was actually who s*** the bed when he left this clown on the mound in the first place.
It was obvious after 2 batters that Hernandez didn’t have clue tonight. From there he always goes into destruction mode. But Cora doesn’t know this about his own player. Oye. Maybe he would have removed him had it not been for the 3 batter rule. I don’t think DHern is a 3 batter pitcher.

If this game would have been at Fenway I wouldn’t have blamed the fans if they would have gotten up, and all walked out. Matter of fact I would have encouraged it.

Big Papi, whose call would it be besides Cora's?

Well, these days, I have understood that managers do not make the calls unilaterally. I have understood there’s a “baseball intelligence” office or whatever its name is, which guides them. Probably I’m wrong though.

Actually this has happened in Fenway, but most fans stay to hear and sing SWEET CAROLINE.

Questionable choice of pitching. You'd think late in this game you'd go with your combination of Schreiber, whitclok and Houck.

Exactly 100%.

He is clearly a bum compadre BUT the fault is 100% on Cora. Tied game in late inning and you bring this clown?

Really? Cora has to go.

Not sure you're wrong because the game has fallen into the hands of nerds, who've never played the game. But, anyway, Cora still makes the final decision.

Not sure how common sense work in Cora’s mind.

Not much hitting going on but I wouldn't accuse Bogey of anything. He has been nothing but a pro for the Sox.

Until he wasn’t. He had to open his mouth with a comment about the direction of the team. He thinks management threw in the towel when they traded Vasquez-which very well might be the case-but players should be seen and not heard when it comes to management decisions. Their job is to take the field and play their asses off.

Cora has lost control of his team. He can’t return next year.

He has made a lot of questionable decisions that has cost us several games. Yes, he has to go.

The no trade clause apparently gave him the courage to talk.

I don't think it helped his chances at getting a higher bid from the team he supposedly wants to keep playing for.

I'm going to say it again, I'm not seeing any positive influences, this year, from team "leaders" and vets like JD, Bogey, Nate and others.

I'm not saying they haven't tried, but I'm not getting why they keep getting praised by some. It seems like those who blame Cora for being in last place are not only failing to blame the "team leaders," they seem to want to continue praising them.

DEVERS FOREVERS! The rest, not so much.

Speaking for myself Cora has to go along with JD, XB and Eovaldi. I think a cycle has finished with them. Wish them the best but it’s time to move on. Devers must be locked down though.

Or the SOX will return him to WOO LAND and replace him with Valdez.

That would require 2 moves, since Valdez is no longer on the 40 man.

I don’t get why Hernandez was even brought up; it’s not like he was pitching lights out or even that well in Worcester. Okay, he replaced Ort, so I sort of get it. But to me, he should be the long guy who comes in in the 3rd or 4th inning and the team well behind. If he holds the other team down snd gives the Sox a small chance, fine. If he doesn’t, he saves more accomplished arms. This situation cried out for Whitlock. Maybe Schreiber. Perhaps even Brasier, who at least is 50-50 on holding the other team.

Which Valdéz?

Philips Valdez is now in the Seattle Mariner organization.

I have contended that Cora has played BP roulette now for a couple weeks and always goes down when 00 comes up after he has covered the other 36 numbers. Hernandez is a loser and always has been. Truly a given away game, but even then, the hitters got 3 runs in, 1 by Plawecki, the other 2 on a single swing by Devers. JDM and Hosmer showed the difficulty of having guys with WT power , instead of 3 manhole wallops.

They can still take 3 of 4 vs KC and win the next 50 in a row, in an alternate universe. In the one which we live in, this is a sub .500 team now.
