Franchy has a 122 wRC+ since May 1. He needs to run into a HR or two.

That damn Manfred rolled up sock ball...

Now that's funny.

Correct, and that's why I clarified my question.

And, again, since there are only 2 teams behind the sox, I don't think the cold weather excuse really holds up.

Also, I never said that they suck. And I don't know why their power is down, that's why I asked an "expert".

You don't think cold weather can have any affect, just because a few teams ahead of the Sox did not drop off a cliff by as much?

I'm not saying it's a major factor, but I do think it plays a role. We had a lot of hitters, last year, that took off at some point in May and June.

Maybe the dead ball is 50%, the slumping is 40% and the cold weather 10%. Who knows?

Why not tell us your opinion?

SOX one run leads are magical as in how fast they disappear.

As long as it's not a deficit, I don't see the problem. This is the ultimate game of ups and downs

One HR in an inning ( or game) can be a mistake. 3 in a one out inning is tough to win with. Although Syndergaard gave up 6 runs in his first inning last night.

Now it is just plain embarrassing to watch. One game win streaks ???

12 HR's in 41 innings. Not good for the ol' ERA

Clearly the problem is Plawecki's pitch calls and framing. Although it is hard to frame a pitch that lands 400' away. Keep watching this may be a true All-Time record for one inning.
