There used to be more fans here, but some may have joined forums of other teams to insult posters with timeworn putdowns that weren't funny even back in elementary school. However, those of us with patience should forgive their frustrations with the internet, where they can't steal our lunch money or knock books out of our hands. For the benighted knights of the keyboard, stepping on others may never fill the holes in their soles (unless we have gum in our hair).

Oh I disagree big time with that.

Adding the third PO team means that the team we’d face in the first round could be down their top 2 starters. Meaning neither will be available for more than one start in round 1. Prior to a 5 gamer, you could theoretically go with 3 starters

Ace game 1

#2 game 2

Day off

#3 game 3

Ace on 3 days rest game 4

Day off

#2 starter on full rest game 5

Having to survive two games prior to a series really put them in a pickle pitching wise, not to mention the pen being tired from two elimination games

It seems to me that you post something pretty similar almost every year about how the Yankees rotation and bullpen will have an advantage in the postseason. When it comes to any kind of a short series, throw all bets out the window.

It's a veritable ghost town in here after the back to back beatdowns by the devil rays.

It's interesting that you show up in year when the Yankees are playing so well. I've missed you the past few years.

It's like Swi and Stork only coming out after losing streaks.

Now that I mention it, where are they?

I haven't even opened up the game thread section of this forum in a long time. I can't deal with it. LOL

I've been touch'n'go on that thread. A lot of times I join it near the end of the game, after I have caught up on tape delay.

I have noticed some winning games, the threads are just 2-3 pages long.

Right, I'm Nostradamus' long lost son and joined here the first week of April because I knew the Yanks would be on a record pace and the sox would struggle for a playoff spot. SMH......

devers had to exit Friday's game against the Yankees after four innings due to low back pain. He missed two games earlier this week due to back and lower right hamstring tightness.

seabiscuit, Friday's starter, had to leave with right forearm extensor tightness after 2 2/3 innings in which he surrendered seven runs on nine hits. The club's No. 14 prospect per MLB Pipeline was called up earlier in the day to make the start because of boston's rotation injuries.

The game threads when the Sox are losing usually tend to be a lot longer than the ones when the Sox are winning.

I get the frustration on the game threads. I really do. I just can't deal with so much negativity.

Like I said, I've missed you.

The Yankess elimination from the playoffs will be all that much sweeter.

He's a troll, Kimmi. I'm trying to follow the directive of not replying to him any more. If no one replies maybe he'll go away.

Unfortunately we have no mods to do the job.

Just giving an update for those who may not have watched the game.

Certainly not, there's nothing better than beating the sox when they are at full strength. I don't wish injuries on anyone.

And again, you are nothing more than a douche nozzle.

Understood. I am only responding to bellhorn's constant attacks.

Sorry about that. Enjoy your weekend.

I think if I was going to start a baseball forum I would abolish game threads.

I disagree. I think their fun, especially if a person has a sense of humor. In the scheme of things, like real life, is following millionaires playing a kids' game really all that important?

No it’s not really all that important, and I think it’s quite amusing how the first sign of trouble the doom, and gloom will start, and how things can change from pitch to pitch, and batter to batter.

I wouldn’t call them fun, but if unleashing one’s frustration on a message board as a catharsis prevents that person from, say, launching squirrels on a homemade trebuchet, I do support them…

Squirrels have a tough enough life, like crossing streets and/or finding their nuts; they don't need to be launched from any kind of trebuchet.

Exactly. And especially not if Diekman can’t find the strike zone again. Which is why I support game threads…

Speaking of squirrels, Notin, have you seen these bird feeders that have the spinning poles? Once it senses a squirrel trying to climb up to the bird feeder it starts spinning and, well,I'm sure you've heard of flying squirrels.

No doubt those were invented by a Sox fan watching Hansel Robles without access to a game thread…
