Okay, you pick his 2 worst moves and act like that's it. (BTW, you probably forgot the Beni trade.)

The value of the Beni trade for us all depends on Wink, who got off to a nice start but has been scuffling bigly and now has a perfect goose egg fWAR of 0.0.

Perfect example of the incompetence

2022 MLB Draft, let’s take a H.S SS college commit who was projected to go 3rd round

Two picks later at #26 Brown SS Coastal Carolina .800 ops in the Cape League

Priceless!

Projected by who? the experts?

Stork personally scouted him at Coastal Carolina unlike the Red Sox.

I still think the Beni trade was at worst a wash. As we used the money saved to get Renfroe.

People forget the Beni trade saved us money in a year where Bloom was severely restricted.

(That was the main reason I scratched my head after we traded him for the $12M JBJ plus his $8M buyout)

I only brought up Beni because I was sure the troll forgot it. It’s the type of non context trades he trolls.

The Betts trade sucked, but only because we lost a franchise player that the Sox weren't going to pay. Not Bloom's fault.

The Beni trade was whatever. It was basically Beni for Cordero and Khalil Lee and then we spun Lee for prospects, from what I remember.

The JBJ trade was horrible and still doesn't make much sense. I believe they'd be under the cap if they kept Renfroe's ARB amount and skipped out on signing Hill.

Winckowski was one of the prospects traded by the Mets for Khalil Lee from what I remember.

Sox originally had an agreement to trade Beni for Lee/Cordero straight up, but were able to expand the trade because they knew Mets had lots of interest in the deal. I look at it as two separate deals.

We got Winckowski and Freddie Valdez from the Mets and Cordero, Gambrel and DLR from KC.

Lee went to KC with Beni.

It was one trade.

I heard buzz the Sox were only interested in Khalil Lee because they wanted to flip h to the Mets, who apparently lusted after him like Pepe LePew after a black cat with graffiti on it….

Yes, they worked out the deal with the Royals and then flipped him to the Mets. Agreed.

We got the mighty Freddie Valdez from the Mets, too.

Twins, Brad Peacock Agree To Minor League Deal

I thought the Twins were going to try and compete this year. Is that all they are going to do at the deadline? Embarrassing!

Yankees better hope Minny does better than this by the deadline. Otherwise, the Twins might not make the postseason. That could ruin New York's entire October...

5 years.

That's not relatively little experience IMO.

Duran didn't play in 2020. Aside from that, if you combine all of his outfield experience in the minors and the majors, it amounts to less than 2 full seasons. Not that it's a given, but certainly there's a possibility for improvement.

Well, if the rebuild is a 5 year plan (2020-2024), then Dugo will be gone by the time Duran can play another OF position, so keep em both still makes little sense.

It might or might not make sense. All I'm saying is that it's rather quick to give up on Duran.

There have been big questions about the OF each year since Bloom took over. I have no idea what the plan is out there.

Not acquiring another outfielder, preferably a right handed one, was rather questionable to me.

I’d move him. If you can get a Cleveland SP or a catcher for 2023, it makes sense to do it now….

I never saw that need.

JBJ was brought back for the glove, which shouldn’t matter against whatever arm the starting pitcher uses…

I'm not sure they would have brought JBJ back if they knew he was going to OPS .550 and have a negative WAR.

Of course moving any player depends on the return.

I understand the reasons for bringing back JBJ, but even with the improved OF defense, and even if he did rebound to his previous offensive level, who was our 4th outfielder? JD? One injury was all it took to wreak havoc on our outfield situation.

Reportedly they expected some offensive resurgence, but they also batted him 8th and 9th since day one..

Franchy and Duran were always options.

For an immediate in game need, Arroyo was an acceptable emergency play…

I don't see how batting him 8th and 9th resolves the negative WAR though.
