He might end up doing that. But last year he tried leading off and was horrible. His hitting returned only after he moved down in the lineup.

Looks like last night but with Pivetta inserting that 5 run disaster in the 2d. 4 walks by Pivetta, which hurt. 0 walks by Berrios.

 

Kind of a shame to waste Valdez in a game which looks very one-sided.

Tonight, we just got the hits at the wrong times, and they bunched theirs and the BBs all together.

 

We hit the ball hard for some outs, and our hitters went oppo field a lot.

 

I'm not upset about the O as much as I am with our rotation- something I was concerned about all winter.

 

We needed to add to the rotation- not subtract (ERod).

Hopefully, Pivetta found something in his last 2 innings last night and can be more consistently effective going forward. If not, they can’t stay with him for more than a couple of more starts. He hasn’t been competitive.
