Fitzgerald with his 11th tater of the season.

Walter throws a nice game. 6 innings and only 1 run given up with 5 strikeouts.

Gonzalez still a bit wild. 3 runs and 1 hit given up in 1 inning.

Murphy struck out 11, but gave up 4 runs in 6 innings.

Yes, big game from Walter after that horrific first AAA start. The 3BBs were surprising, though. He had 4 BBs all season, before today. Wong & Refsnyder both has two 2Bs.

I was hoping Murphy was working towards a promo to AAA. This start did not help.

Kavadas is the next Greek God of Walks.

Not quite. Youk had an OBP of 504 as a 22 year old in A ball with 73 BB and 31 K. Kavadas k's way too much.

(Which was of course a misnomer for Youk, who was not Greek.)

Well, his great-great-great grandfather could have changed his surname back to Weiner, but I don't think the jerseys would have sold as well.

Nathan Hickey had nearly as many walks, half as many strikeouts, and only trails Kavadas by .017 in OPS. He’s also a year younger and gets negligible attention…

If Hickey was Greek, I'd have used his name.

Can we call him the "Celtic God of Walks?"

It's too bad his catching makes Gary Sanchez look Johnny Bench in comparison.

Is it worth trying him at 1B, of will he just be a DH?
