10/22 ALCS Game 6 @ Astros

Ball f***ing FIVE Arroyo. Garcia did not throw one pitch over the plate to him. If they're pressing this early, it will get late soon.

 

I know we may have deeper needs than 2B, but not yet an Arroyo fanclub leader. He also will need to stay on the field in '22 to make a real contribution

He certainly doesn’t take a lot of pitches.

 

Regular season, he had 8 walks in 181 plate appearances. Heck, he got hit by a pitch 7 times.

I'm not sure it's a slump. Garcia is throwing strikes, but not in the center of the zone. He's working the corners with that fastball and keeping the slider low.

I think I'm right because so far Garcia impresses me. So did the Astros pitchers in the last two games. Plus it's pretty unusual for an entire lineup to go into a slump against lousy pitching.

I also won't watch unless the Braves are beating the Astros. That's assuming the Sox don't come back to win this series, which I think they will.
