Too much negativity, even if it is justified.

I wasn’t being negative. I suggested a very good Van Damme movie for everyone to watch tonight

Maybe that is negative to some lmao.

The Last Mercenary? Sounds like a baseball movie.

Hahaha it’s super good. Give it a watch. Just. Came out. It’s a comedy. About a retired mercenary who’s trying to rescue his son. It has some really good humor but I didn’t understand some because it’s French and a bit different. Watch the trailer on Netflix. It’s not for everyone but if you like action it’s entertaining. It’s like Austin powers meets Van Damme lol.

Anyway. This game is making me sad :(

For those paying attention the Sox have now lost 5 of their last 6 series, with the only series win coming against the hapless Orioles.

They are in free fall.

Brutal series. We have to move on and forget this rapidly.

Seriously, how bad is Andrew Heany? I did notice that he has a 5.78ERA. Hopefully, he's bad enough for a SOX win tomorrow.

He’s a FB pitcher in Yankee stadium. You guys should win unless the Yanks offense decides to show up

And Luis Gil’s stuff is electric, but you guys caught him on a bad day. He couldn’t get that slider to break. Prior to facing the Sox, he walked 3 in 11 innings. Yesterday he walked 4 in 4.2 mostly because he had to rely on FB and change. Heck, his flat slider was used more as a change up than his change up. Kid is the real deal, though. Nasty stuff. Gonna see a lot of him these last six weeks with Severino down for the count

air its any consolation, just a quick check of the remaining schedules for the AL East teams suggests the Sox have the easiest road of the three teams coming home. They face more teams with little to no pitching which regardless of all they hoopla about hitting, is the name of this game.

The problem with getting passed by the Rays and Yamkmees is that it also at least for now puts them behind the A's for wild card spots.

We have a hard time winning games unless we can clone the O's around baseball.

Yanks biggest competition on the schedule outside of the East just lost their ace in a frightening manor (A’s). It’s gonna be a dogfight to the finish

When I think of a dogfight, I imagine relentless, snarling and barking foes tearing into each other... not our beloved, despised Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde The Bats clubs.

Now Tyler Wade steps out of the batter's box to readjust his velcro for the 8th straight pitch this at bat. And Hansel Robles walks back off the mound to look into his cap for the sign indicator with a runner on second and a 3-2 count. Fans bang on the wall down the rightfield foul line to keep each other awake...

Now that’s hilarious

Yesterday we got 2 good performances from our starting pitchers, and in spite of that we got our asses kicked. :(

It's good times for sure.

On the plus, both quarterbacks for the Colts looked great so I have that going lol.

We lost the first game because the bullpen, mostly Whitlock but also Taylor--both stalwarts for most of this season--conducted a walkathon.

We lost the 2d game because of the Yankees pitching and the Sox anemic hitting.

Before the July 31 deadline most if not all of us felt that Bloom absolutely had to acquire a really good starter, without which the Sox were doomed.

Not so. In the subsequent 2+ weeks it's looking more and more as though the bullpen needed the fresh arms and the lineup another bat or two. The rotation has been pretty good, especially since Richards and Perez were sent to the bullpen.

Now in 3rd place and the Blue Jay's have only one more in the L column. Could be 4th soon.

The one bright spot.... After this nasty stretch of Rays, Jays, Yankees. We have the Rangers, Twins, Guardians (Guardians whatever) coming up. We have a very favourable schedule..... If we can't win these series, we don't belong anywhere near a playoff spot.
