That this particular team is currently in 1st place may be the best magic trick I've ever seen.

 

They just haven’t done anything well lately but i still love this team. Just wish they had made a deal for an arm. I wonder if Cora had any input when it came to the GM making a move.

I’m also surprised that bloom is getting all this love. What has the guy won? If this team implodes there’s gonna be a lot of pressure on this guy in 2022. He could have one of the shortest tenure in GM history.

I was excited to get him only for the fact that Tampa Bay rays are a very poor team and he always seem to make them competitive. I couldn’t imagine what he would do with the salary cap that we have. But apparently not much, because we seem to just be getting worse since the second half started.

He also paid homage to the Lux Tax issue in his interview. Trying real hard to stay economical so he can bust loose in the off season with FA's......or not

But in the long season, usually the team with the better pitching and defense wins the race. Comeback wins are exciting, but are they sustainable over 162 games? For the SOX sake, we'd better hope so.

Normally , I would say JDM is getting fooled on pitches, but his swings are weak and just poking the ball. That is not normal. He needs a shrink or some good drugs

Bloom has made some good moves. He signed Cora. Picked up Arroyo. Signed Hernandez. Got Whitlock from the Yankees for $50,000. Got Ottovino for nothing. Signed Renfroe. Signed Sawamura. Trade for Schwarber. The team is in first place. The farm system is getting better. Drafted probably the best player in the draft in Mayer. I think Bloom is doing an excellent job.

Well i like your optimism but Rodriguez has an ERA over 5 and his nibbling is getting tiredsome. The guy’s a non-competitor. Pivetta is concerning to me. His last 3 starts have been awful. The guy needs to right the ship. Idk about this pitching. I just don’t know.
