There are trades made after the deadline every year. Sox may still add someone who can help them. I trust Bloom to try to win this year. Once Schwarber's bat gets in the lineup its going to make a huge difference.

Does Bloom have a plan for the pitching which is not obvious to us?

JH didn't want to go over the salary cap and Bloom didn't want to trade 'top prospects.' So this is why the SOX didn't get what they needed to make a serious run to get to the WS.

Is it too early to chant "wait till next year?"

 

This makes eminent good sense to me.
