Vaz bat use to cover up for a lot but the guy has far too many passed balls his arm looks Meh now and hi s handling of a staff has never been stellar.Why not Maximize his value while he has any left for a starter in a package deal .Make Plawlecki the made man and promote the kid .

 

VAZ handles EO very well, but that could be because EO is the SOX only quality starter.

I like Remy; I loved him as a ballplayer and I like him in the booth. ECK is the guy in the booth who may have overstayed his welcome. How many times can one say 'cheese?'

 

Eck is the best analyst in the business. He and Jerry together are awesome. You don't know how lucky you have it with both of them. You should hear the Cubs and White Sox guys.

I agree. I've heard them all with this Extra Innings package. I've actually posted those very same words of how fortunate the fans are who get most games on NESN.

I would pay FULL PRICE just not watch this game become a 9 inning game. That would be cruel.

It absolutely was not. Yes, certainly, we all hate the Sox to lose, but they lose about 40% of the time, so it isn't that big a deal.

 

The game was well played. Ray pitched great and went 6 innings. The Jays, who can hit, hit Richards hard, which is hardly a surprise. And Rios and Workman saved the rest of the bullpen from having to pitch.

 

Good news is that Verdugo looks exactly like the guy we saw earlier this year and made a terrific play getting that guy out at 3b. Kike had a bad game, but he is entitled. Dalbec is not entitled, but that's another story.

 

If you are Bloom or Cora, you have to be thinking the Sox need another starter for the stretch run. Richards and ERod both now have ERA's over 5, and Perez and even Pivetta are shaky as well.

Completely agreed. It’s ********. Almost as much ******** as Richards pitching. f*** he’s awful. I’m tired of him. 4 innings 8 hits and 4 runs. Sad thing is….. this isn’t even what we would call a horrible start for him. He is nearly a guaranteed loss every start
