I had to check that list twice to make sure they didn’t activate me...

No, but activating Ryan "the Real Deal" Lavarnway should always get a mention on here.

Hey if he goes on a tear, NL MVP is wide open this year...

Chicago White Sox rookie Luis Robert is off to an amazing start. Hitting .354/.425/.542 and leading the AL with 1.0 fWAR, just ahead of Aaron Judge (0.9 fWAR) and Carlos correa (0.9 fWAR).

Will he or won't he become the third player in MLB history to take MVP and ROY in the same season?

Robert was 0 for 4 last night and had the Golden Sombrero. Humbling game.

A small group of enterprising Phillies fans have found a way to make a lot of noise from outside the park. Last night they did things like blow air horns while the Yankees were trying to hit. Aaron Boone talked to the umps about it but to no avail. :D

ChiSox fans are already comparing him to Mike Trout so.......

I wonder if Trout has ever had the Sombrero. Honest question, don't know the answer.

He's a pretty fierce hitter. He'll have more. But they won't outweigh the good he does for that team...

Will the Cardinals ever play that elusive 6th game of the season?

It's August 13th and their record this month is 0-0. How are they ever going to make up all those games?

Strasburg got tossed for arguing balls and strikes from the stands. Also, ump is doing the hated "mask over mouth, but under nose" gimmick.

Were those announcers watching that game? That ball was borderline at best and I cannot fault the ump for calling it a ball at all.

I would guess there were a lot of borderline calls that game that went against Strasburg. That one didn't seem all that egregious. And certainly not enough to get ejected over...

Those were the Mets announcers too.

They aren’t making them up.

How about that Thom Brennaman?

I haven't watch it yet. Obviously he was caught on a hot mic, but was an accidental slip or was he purposely saying something derogatory?

Oh, it was definitely said on purpose.

Lol, I just found it. If he was referring to KC, that statement is debatable at best. Wonder what he thinks San Francisco is, if KC is the capital

His apology is catching him even more flak, but I can at least credit him that he is not reading a written statement in a press conference or from a teleprompter, and apparently he tried to do one off the cuff while live on air (even calling a Nick Castellanos home run mid-apology).

Still, he is supposed to be a grown man...

There are some really fun teams to watch this year, besides the Red Sox, I mean. LOL

The Padres come to mind first and foremost. I haven't watched a whole lot of them, but from what I've seen, they are having a great time. Orsillo announcing their games is an added bonus.

The most confusing team is the Phillies. They went out and got bullpen help, but they have the second worst record in the NL. They might consider selling over buying..

Certainly questionable. But when they made the trade, they still had 63.3% of this weird season left.

When the Sox are like this it takes much of the excitement out of the season. The Rays have a good team and a certain " underdog " appeal . In the N.L. , I always root for the Cubs . I see them as the N.L. version of the Sox , right down to the finally broken "curse " .
