Why is Hitch speaking of witless boors? I thought he was speaking of you.

- Grammar joke

Hitch is typical of someone who interrupts another's conversation. Bell horn is perfectly able to defend himself. Moreover I got the sense he was enjoying the banter. But Hitch is obviously a humorless buttinsky who has no idea about the cultures that I have lived in.

Nobody enjoys somebody constantly acting superior. Most tragically of all, not even the person doing it.

Isn't that exactly what you have been doing.

Talk about a lack of self awareness. Cluelessness is strong in you.

These are stressful times. This forum is stuffed with people who have strong opinions. Not a bad thing for the most part. What I have found is that the people that you simply don't tend to see eye to eye with very often, will tend to stop communicating with you.

Years ago I said I post my opinions and anyone is free to accept them, reject them, disagree with them or ignore them as is their want. Just as I do with theirs. That was true then and it is true today and it will true tomorrow, God willing.

I bet you are quite the traveler. I bet you have even been to Boston. When you were in Boston did you ever get scrod. Although I am sure you can get scrod in Halifax but probably not as good.

A traveller who is a huge fan of seafood arrives in Boston for the first time. He leaves the airport and hails a cab. After he gets in, he excitedly says to the cabbie, "Hey, I'm new in town. Can you tell me a good place to go to get scrod?" The cabbie replies [in a thick Boston accent], "Pal, I've got to congratulate you. I've heard that question a lot over the years, but that's the first time I've ever heard it in the pluperfect subjunctive."

(I first heard that joke about forty years ago. Only it was the Librarian and school teacher)

Newfoundlander in Boston to Harvard student: "Hey b'y, which way is Fenway Park to?"

Harvard student (after shaking his head in disgust): "Don't you know you're not supposed to end a sentence with a preposition?"

Newfoundlander: "Okay, which way is Fenway Park to, arsehole?"

WEEI rips Sale and Red Sox.

"Oh, and why didn’t the most famous, reputable orthopedic surgeon on the planet, Dr. James Andrews, do Sale’s surgery?

A spokesman for Andrews told the Boston Globe that his clinic “suspended elective procedures to comply with an executive order from Florida’s governor Ron DeSantis related to the pandemic.”

Translation: Dr. James Andrews is a wealthy old bugger who doesn't really need the money that much and would prefer to look righteous to the public.

(I'm kidding!)

Also, Florida banned elective surgeries but California didn’t...

Yes, things seem to vary quite a bit from state to state in that union of yours.

We checked on the Sale situation with Red Sox chief medical officer , Dr . Vinnie Boombatz . It went like this : Reporter : " Why did Chris Sale have Tommy John surgery at this time ?" Dr. Boombatz : " Well , the first surgery of this kind was performed on a pitcher named " Tommy John " . It was quite successful . So they named it after him . Hence , Tommy John surgery . I hope that answers your question . "

Closer to the truth than anyone wants to believe.

How would LA survive without plastic surgeons?!?!?

That may or may not be true but regardless of his motivation IMO he's doing the right thing.

Hospitals also need the help of medical professionals who could be helping with coronavirus patients instead of performing needless surgeries.

"Needless"? It isn't a Botox injection.

An argument could be made that Botox injections are essential to the livelihood of actors/actresses/tv spokespeople, where appearance is very important.

I would not make that argument, but I don't see the difference between that argument and the argument that TJS is essential.

Did Rihanna make a donation to look righteous?

Did Shin Soo Choo?

If you did make that argument, I would probably have to agree with it.

Hmm, I guess I can agree with that
