i dont like this move by Bloom at all.

we really needed to clean out all of the Alex Cora cheating stink. and that included any coach that was in the dugout the past 2 seasons.

between this and the betts/price trade that is failing apart i am losing faith in Bloom.

with that said...

Fire Roenicke!

Not only does he not have a WS championship yet, he doesn't even have a WIN! JBJ hasn't done s*** since Roenike arrived, and I can't think of one game-time decision he's made thus far that I agree with.

Lol. I just posted this in the other thread.

I think this is a bad choice by management. They should clean house of anyone connected to the Cora regime. Hire an outside candidate for Manager and allow him to hire coaches. Keeping the old guard will only serve to fuel doubt and possibly taint the Sox reputation further. Weak move.

I have to ask myself if I am Bloom wouldn't I want my own person as manager, I suspect this decision was made above Bloom's pay grade as they say.

I see what you're saying and I respect it, and I also see the other side of it. I see it as a lose/lose situation now. If the Sox are found guiltless in this fiasco wouldn't getting rid of Cora and all of his coaches make it look like the FO knows we're guilty - and got away with it?.

Unless Bloom answered "No." Or atleast "Not yet."

Did Dombrowski fire John Farrell right away?

Bloom didn't fire Cora. If it hadn't been for the cheating scandal in Houston Cora would still be there. The Cora decision was made by ownership, just like this one is IMHO.

And that’s how we got Bobby V.

Bobby V. was like watching an acid trip

You mean without experiencing it? I think BV was MUCH more interesting than that!

@JMastrodonato

Ron Roenicke said after the Red Sox pitchers had a slow start last year, the goal is for all starters to make six starts this spring. Big change from a year ago.

The nerve of this man!

Are you sure Bloom hired Roenicke? Sounds like a Luchino move to me. Maybe even DD somehow

How many spring training innings did Rodriguez throw last year?

He seemed to come out of spring training throwing a decent ball.

It’s “Narron” for those of you keeping score at home.

The biggest coaching story so far has been "Narron has beautiful handwriting on the scorecards."

i have 2 questions for my TS friends that are down in the Fort.

1. is ron having EROD take extra practice on covering 1b on groundballs to rightside?

2. is ron having JDM take some reps at 1b?

They have more than enough 1bmen.

I think it’s more for NL parks. Might as well stick him in RF. Not like Pillar is so important he can’t be benched for 3 games...
