Welcome to the board!

And yes we are all nervous for Sale right now. He looks bad and just has zero confidence in himself.

Folks I'm sorry for my candor lately .The Redsox have been absolute torture to follow and I had really high hopes of a repeat .Yes I know repeats never happen ! But I convinced myself and it's been painful to trudge through 3 hour games all year beating our heads against the wall week after week .I do think there is a glaring need in Player Development and Pitching Coach along with Improving the catching position ,Starting Pitching ,A closer .The truth is its a lot to fix let's atleast start the DFA process after this series shall we ?

Jackoff posted earlier that today is the end of the SOX season. Coming from him that actually gives me hope that the SOX still have a chance.
I don't know why anyone responds to Jackwagon. He is a Skankee Troll frontrunner, Captain Obvious. When the Sox were trouncing the SKanks the first 3 games last week he was conveniently working. Riiiiiiight!

It's over, boys. I'm calling it. Time of Death. 1 pm EST, August 3, 2019

Danny actual time of death ? Seattle series to start the year .Something is way off with Sale and the entire staff it's been obvios from the jump they have been ill prepared for 2019 .Heads must roll with the expectations and the largest payroll in MLB .

DD and JH quit on the team at the trading deadline and the team quit on them in return. Now the fans will quit on the team. Everyone will be on the same page.

Nothing sane JH could have done would have made a difference. If DD and Cora were unable to make the POs with the highest payroll and handpicked coaching staff, then adding another high priced player wouldn't have meant a lot. Time to move on.

It’s all over except for the finger pointing. Injuries were not an excuse. The Yankees had far more injuries than the Red Sox which suffered no insurmountable injuries. The offense produces as many runs as it did last year. There were no anomalies from our offense. The failure was pitching. There was no depth in the rotation and the bullpen was a disgrace. The General Manager, manager and coaching staff take a major share of the blame.

To me, the rotation leads the blame game list, especially when factoring in expectations. Sale, Porcello and Eovaldi were huge let downs. Price did okay but his limited IP'd hurt. Only ERod did well. Our rotation depth did poorly but managed a winning record in their combined starts.

The pen sucked but never was expected to be very good. The blown saves killed us and failed to make up for some good they did from time to time.

The GM, manager and coaches all share the blame.

The offense did well, despite the downturns by Betts & JD, but seemed to score too much when not needed while coming up short when needed most.

I can't assign any blame to Devers, Bogey, Vaz, ERod, Workman and Chavis.

The fact that the pen was expected to suck is not an excuse. It was the one hopeless blackhole of failure on the team that had no hope of success. That is on DD. The pen had zero prospect of being adequate... none. Eovaldi got injured (really our only significant injury). That was snowballed by a complete lack of depth inthe rotation -- DD's fault. Porcello has had a horrible year. Price and ERod have been good and reliable. The attempt to save Sale's bullets killed his April and has done nothing to stave off his second half deterioration. He has looked awful since the calendar turned to July. I am concerned that the health of his arm is an issue.

It's not an excuse. They sucked, and yes, it's on DD and the pen. Even guys like Barnes sucked.

The rotation sucked and actually lost more games for us than the pen. They also had less to do with our wins than the pen. This isn't an argument made to lessen how much our pen sucked.

The pen sucked.

S-U-C-K- Sucked!

No excuses. They were supposed to suck or be pretty bad, and they sucked.
