Would have loved to see the NL CY and MVP on the same night, but it is what it is. Win. Dance. Repeat. Still have full faith in this team, even though I've known since November that we weren't winning the World Series this year

As Bruce Buffer likes to say, IIIIIIt's Time !!! The Sox are up against a master left hander today in RYU, and are pitching our own best shot in David " Big Game" Price . Win a series at home against a top contender for this year's WS or lose a series at home, clinging to the WC #2 hopes. Losing on a night when the Rays and Yankees lost doesn't move the needle or announce that the second half will be any different than the first. Why would you expect a few days off in July to remake a team that has wandered and stumbled through 92 games and are actually out of the playoffs today ?

So you have full faith in the team to do what?

Make the playoffs and lose to either NYY or HOU. Both teams are better than us and there's nothing wrong with that. In fact, I wouldn't mind seeing the Astros, Dodgers or Yankees win the World Series if I'm being completely honest. Most of the people I care about in life are Yankees fans. Part of growing up in CT. Plus, Springer is on Houston, and Pollock is on LA

Sox are hitting .249 as a team against Lefties this season.

Last 30 days Ryu has a 3.13 ERA, and Opponents are hitting, .278 against him. 4 Games started.

Ryu

Home - 0.85 ERA

Road - 2.98 ERA

Yikes, that's a confused perspective.

No, it's called being a tolerant fan and respecting greatness in the game. The Yankees are doing something amazing this year with all the injuries. Hats off

See, I think that's a sign of the times, and highlights the generational gap. All the players now seem to be pretty good friends. Judge and Mookie get along well, and it's a common theme among all sports these days. The new generation of pro athletes have much more comradorie these days. Baseball rivalries aren't what they used to be, and baseball fans aren't what they used to be. People my age don't really hate our "rival" fans or teams. Football is different, but it's still evolved. Phio State fans have a strong disdain for Michigan fans and vice versa, but in many places they coexist. I think modern athletes have done a great job being role models for more respectful but still competitive behavior. We don't hate our rivals, we get along with them, pick their brains, and appreciate their achievements. Do we still want to beat them? Of course. It's human nature. But there's far less bad blood in sports today.

Agree with respect for the game and the Yankees--also the Astros.

All these games are huge when it comes to the wildcard. This team has to win tonight against a team that has likely secured the division already.

We face the ASG starter tonight with a lineup that struggled last night. Price has been good and if he stay in that groove for 7 innings we will have some chance. I wish Beni and Betts were doing more. Tough to watch our hitters taking called third strikes with men in scoring position. We need our guys to get out there and play aggressively tonight (Pete Rose could be a model). I hate to see some of the guys losing aggressiveness and focus.

Of course they seem like good friends. They all play for the same team....the MLBPA. The rest is just laundry. They even address each other as union members would.

I wore that dude's jersey (the same exact one he wore) my freshman year of HS. Poor timing, but wow
