Anybody tell them the dam season started? Our do they still think it’s party time because they won the WS. I get it being a long season last year and winning the WS but it’s time to wake up and start playing this season. All our players hitting and pitching just stinks bad. Betts, Benny, Bogaerts, all stink at least JD is hitting for average.

JBJ figures he had a great postseason so he can just cruise at .138. I knew Evovaldi wasn’t a good signing. He had a great postseason but he’s never been a good consistent regular season pitcher. Porcello and A-Rod are terrible and I won’t even get into the mess of a bullpen. If we don’t watch out we’ll windup staying in last place.

It's said one shouldn't live in the past, but if you're a SOX fan, that's where you should be living. The present SOX team is pathetic and shows no signs of getting better. The BRUINS will, at least, give me something worth watching for a while.

SOX highlight of the day was Chavis's 441 foot HR. Hope he continues to play everyday, and, hopefully, the SOX FO will start to unload the dead weight on this team, starting with the offensively challenged CF.

I see that spelling and grammar and s*** like that are optional in your world. Evovaldi is bad enough, but A-Rod? Jeezus.

In his defense, no one named A-Rod is helping this team one bit...

Unfortunately, for me, the "past" you claim I should be living in had names like Gary Geiger, Ike Delock, Don Buddin etc. No thanks. As for the Bruins, their 'original six' days were somewhat less glorious than those w/ Bobby Orr et al.

The past for me is definitely fond memories of the Sox. I am 31 and started cheering for them at the age of 14..... Would have been 2002.... Wasn't long after I got to witness them win a World Series and then many more to come :)

This season sure as hell hasn't given me much to cheer about.... A nice sweep over the division leaders but that seems a distant memory now with losing back to back to Detroit.

I meant the recent past; 2018.

Btw, Gary Geiger pinched hit for both YAZ and TED WILLIAMS.

I have a pretty good memory for Yaz trivia. I think it was Carol Hardy and not Gary Geiger that PH for both Williams and Yaz.

My bad. It was Carol Hardy.Sorry. But in defense of Mr Geiger, he wasn't that bad a ballplayer.

C. Hardy was my favorite player as a kid. Geiger was the favorite of my brother. I was also very partial to Jerry Casales. (Williams, Jensen ... you know, they were just way too mainstream!)
