Betts deserves to get heat from fans for his poor form irrespective of past achievements, just as the likes of Sale and Porcello are getting rightly criticised for their unacceptable pitching.

Mookie is my favourite player on the Sox so his current form is personally painful to endure!

Still got another hour or so to get back from the game. Not the best performance out of our Sox, but I was glad to be there. Yankee Stadium is absolutely beautiful and I'm just really at a good place in my life right now so I don't really care that we lost so badly. All about the people.

You’re right. I’m being a homer because I’m not giving up on Mookie Betts two weeks into the season. You right, he sucks.

Well actually I would not be so sure that it should work that way. its a Red Sox Forum. The rule for game thread starters has been built around whether the Sox win or not. Sox win, you keep the right to start the next game thread. Sos don't win, somebody else takes over.

 

Unfortunately, I get the feeling that there will be many multiple opportunities for GT starters this year. We might even end up trolling the streets for them like 18th century ship's officers leading a press gang looking to impress a crew before sailing.
