Please, just remember.....WE LOST SWIHART.......forever, for this f***ing clown.

Please, let that settle in.

The SKINS traded Ernie Davis to Cleveland for Bobby Mitchell, so I fail to see your point about a segregated NFL.

Sadly, Mr Davis died before he ever got to play one game with the Browns. I used to wonder just how great a backfield Cleveland would have had with Jim Brown and Davis.

If you use the F word like 99 more times, maybe someone will hear you.

These things sort of get to be steamrollers once they get going. MLB figures the Sox are better than this and so every team tries to get their wins while they can. The Sox meanwhile are failing in every aspect of the game. Hard to accomplish for a professional sports franchise at the pinnacle of a particular sport that has this much talent. But the Sox are managing it.

Depending on just how bad this season turns out, I only hope the FO doesn't give Cora as much rope as they gave Farrell.

I dont think its Cora.

It starts and ends with the Starting Pitching. They are in massive holes every night. Everytime they get down by a run now, its almost like they just give in, knowing the floodgates will open.

I know it's only been 17 games but man Mookie stinks so far. He better turn it around or else he ain't sniffing anywhere close to 300MIL

He isn't a FA. Look at Harper, trash year and got paid.

Cora handled spring training badly with these guys. It’s not surprising they have been flat to start the year.

Yeah but that's because the Phillies were dumb. He should have never gotten even 300 MIL. I guarantee you mookie isnt sniffing anywhere close to 300 MIl if he has a trash year this year followed by a so so year next year

Well, Cora's plan to baby them during spring training has, so far, failed miserably.

Just to clear up a question asked earlier. I think Jackie Robinson day is in fact one day....April 15 each year. More often than not, we are playing on April 15 and almost nobody else is playing on that day. Hence if we travel the next day, we are likely traveling to a team that is celebrating the day on April 16 while we celebrated it on April 15. We have Patriots day and the Marathon which almost always puts us at home and playing on the 15th. Edited by jung

But Betts, unlike every other major leaguer, has pro bowling to fall back on. Unfortunately, pro bowling pays less than any other pro game.

I wouldn't want to spend 300M on any player. You take tremendous resources away to improve several positions.

Paxton dominated with a fastball and cutter. He hit his corners and was incredible by raising and lowering the eye level. His stuff was awesome. Sale showed improved stuff and a knockout breaking ball, but his fastball location was not good and a 94-95 over the heart of the plate is a homerball these days. Sale at 97-98 might have gotten a bit more run.

I agree, but the SOX, who spend more than most teams, do have 4 championships. I'm guessing that if the Phillies can win 1 or 2 with Harper, they will feel the investment was worth it. But that's a big IF.
