Estrada looked pretty good at the plate and on the field. It's an extremely SSS but if he continues to show quality ABs and strong fielding then Wade may lose his utility role.

Also, Chad Green is the most trash pitcher I've seen. At least right now while he's in this funk. Will he ever get back to being formidable or at least average? I think he still has minor league options, it might be time to get sent down to work on his mechanics/other pitches/brain health.

Chad Green needs to be in AAA putting his s*** together, something must be wrong with him, mechanics or something else (probably a hidden injury)

Well that didn't take long. He was sent down to AAA in exchange for Stephen Tarpley this afternoon. Sanchez also called up to replace Higashioka.

Our guys are doing enough to win and making clutch plays when needed, but boy the Angels must really stink. I need to see what their fans are saying. That is if Angels fan still exist.

Also just saw that the Yankees 7-8-9 hitters have the following slash line this season: .292/.357/.496/.853 (all tops in the majors)

We always seem to have guys who fill in year after year who give an initial boost then regress to their mean. We are getting beyond the initial burst phase. We need to start getting guys back. We have a very weird, backloaded schedule this year and the rest of the AL is mediocre at best beyond Houston. If healthy, we’d be far better off. Sanchez returning was more symbolic than anything last night. CC and Sanchez are back. Tulo looks to be next in line followed by Stanton, Andujar, Hicks, and Frazier. If all goes well, we see Betances and Judge in June and Sevy and Didi in July. We need to keep surging with the AAA squad and avoid another major injury

Crummy loss last night. Tanaka went from dominating the first four innings to s***ing his pants in the fifth. And then to bring in Holder with the game tied and men on base, even though Kahnle/Ottavino hadn't pitched since Monday? And then he ended up using Kanhle anyway when we were down 6 runs. Boone's bullpen choices are befuddling sometimes.

Anywayyyy... I'll still take a series win on the road everyday of the week. Let's get another one against the Giants. Pitchers will be batting these next five games so hopefully there aren't any stupid baserunning injuries.

I still get nightmares about Chien-Ming Wang and I'm a Red Sox fan

He went from a consecutive 18 game winner and ace of our staff to done due to a single baserunning play. He rushed to come back from his injury and hurt his arm and was never the same

What a job by Luke Voit. The guy has become the de facto leader in the clubhouse and is really growing into that role in the lineup. He’s hitting the s*** out of the ball. 8HR 22RBI in 26 games this season while coming through in clutch situations over and over again.

Look at the lineup put up by Boone against one of the best pitchers in baseball.

1. Lemahieu

2. Voit

3. Torres

Okay, 1-3, good major league hitters no issue

4. Urshela

5. Maybin

6. Romine

What the f***? Romine is the only one who belongs on the big league roster, yet he’s a backup

7. Tauchman

8. Estrada

9. Paxton

We rest Gardner and go with the lefty Tauchman? Estrada is a good prospect, so no disrespect there, but what a weak ass lineup. And they get 11 hits and 5ER off MadBum, tying a career worst for him in the process.

I’m amazed with every win that this team can keep floating. Heck, we’re not floating, we’re rising with a team of guys who had been considering their next careers outside the game. As much as I can’t stand Boone’s in game decisions, we all must give him real credit for keeping this ramshackle team together and winning. Heck, if it wasn’t for our “vaunted” pitching falling apart with a 4-0 lead two nights ago, we’d be 5-0 on a west coast road trip.

For real. On paper this is probably the worst lineup in baseball. Okay maybe not worse than the Giants. But it amazes me every time they score a run. And they've been scoring a lot.

Starting to feel like one of those “destiny” years for your team.

Dammit.

Last year felt that with Boston when they hit grand slams every time someone came up with the bases loaded...

Well, Urshela returned and pinch hit. Lemahieu may be off again today and take tomorrow’s off day to recover. Andujar and Tulo played in A ball last night and probably will again today before potentially being activated for Friday’s home game. Hicks is ready for a rehab assignment. Stanton isn’t far behind.

The lineup tossed out there last night was abysmal and against Greinke, we didn’t stand a chance. CC pitched well in the loss. We will see if we can split in the desert this afternoon. Either way, it’s already been a successful road trip

Our AAAA players hadn't seen a high end pitcher like Greinke yet and it showed. Greinke seemed pretty hittable, leaving a bunch of pitches over the middle of the plate. The top of the order (Gardner-Voit-Sanchez-Torres) capitalized on it a bit, going 4 for 15 with two 2Bs and a BB. But the newbies/re-treads were lost, going 1 for 15 (the hit was an infield single) with 6 Ks. They've performed admirably to date but I don't think we can count on them much longer with a string of above average opponents coming up.

I'm salivating at the thought of our lineup being at 50% strength this weekend:

1. LeMahieu 1B

2. Voit DH

3. Sanchez C

4. Torres 2B

5. Andujar 3B

6. Frazier LF

7. Gardner CF

8. Tulo SS

9. Tauchman RF

Sanchez with two more bombs. Voit in the middle of everything. Gleyber with an RBI. Voit has to be in he discussion for MVP a month in. He’s been awesome

Maybe Sanchez too if he stays healthy
