It pains my ass to see Kimbrel get credit for a save in this game. He's like an arsonist who's also on the fire department. He creates the fire then puts it out. No "credit" there.

 

Agreed. No matter what the lead, Kimbrel was set to blow it and our advancement. thhank heaven for Nunez and Pearce. Those that want Kimbrel back on a big contract should remember these moments;

No. Kimbrel is a great closer but tried hard to blow it tonight. He was by far the worst of four Sox relievers tonight but will expect a kings ransom to stick around.

Kimbrel got out of it, but watching him lately I wouldn't be that sad if he's not back next year. Hopefully, he'll do better in the upcoming games. His non-fastball stuff has been horrible of late.

 

He only sucks against the MFY. Goonna be a great ALCS

Pearce saved that. Virtually every 3rd baseman we have gets to that ball....50-50 shot that any of them make a better throw than Nunez made. That was an incredible stretch by Pearce.

If we don't pay Kimbrel, someone will, a bad playoff game, in which we still won, wont change that.

Someone needs to check and see if Kimbrel has a Yankees shirt on underneath his jersey!

 

Man, what a pitiful outing. He fell apart faster than a yankee fan taking an IQ test!

 

Hopefully Atlanta resigns Kimbrel in the off-season!
