This has been one of the most memorable regular seasons I've ever watched, there has been so many incredible moments, including another one yesterday, coming down from 7-1, against a playoff team, with almost all backups in, capped off by a guy making his 2018 debut in Brandon Phillips hitting a game winning home run.

I think almost everyone will agree here that the best moment of the season was the come from behind win against the Yankees, which capped of a 4 game sweep and essentially burying the Yankees.

But aside from that, I think I would have to go with Mookie Betts 13 pitch grand slam against the Blue Jays. That is probably the only time I've seen a home run in the 4th inning feel like a walk off. Everything about that AB was crazy, 13 pitches, Smoak misplaying a popup he probably should've caught, and of course I loved Mookie's reaction after he hit the ball.

Any other ones you guys would like to add? I'm sure there is plenty.

so many great moments this season.

it started Game 2 with a awesome pitching performance after the heartbreaking loss on opening day.

9-1 after 10 games.

17-2 after 19.

Last year, I'd say it was the Devers HR vs the Yanks.

This year, one moment? Maybe Beni's ground ball 10th inning single to finish the sweep of the Yanks after the Sox tied it in the 9th on an error.

So the greatest play of the year was the ONLY play to involve Tony Renda? Coincidence? Huh? Think so?

Actually that would explain it.

Nevertheless I think it still makes for the foundation of an argument to put Tony “Tony Renda” Renda on the playoff roster. Whose with the new cause?

Great idea for a thread. After the comeback against the Braves I thought of the best moments of the year as well. That game was one of my favorites, the next moment I thought of was was Mookie's 13 pitch grand slam, then the Yankees sweep. It's just been a really fun year to be a Sox fan.

Like Max said there are too many to name. I can go through every month and find 1-2 games that had a signature moment. The game I went to, the first game of the year against the Yankees was a good one as well. It was 38 degrees, Sale vs Severino, the night before the brawl, and the Yankees couldn't play defense, and Mookie made them pay with a grand slam in a 14-1 win. That launched our season if you ask me. Sure, we were 8-1 before that, but we had only played the Rays and Marlins. That game showed me we were ready to go.

Definitely the 4 game yankee sweep as it pretty much sealed the division for the Sox

That's why I chose Beni's single as The Moment. It sealed the deal.

I think you resume pretty well the best moments of this season JB44. Probably we just have to sum all the grand slams as one moment as well.

Porcello's bases clearing double was pretty great.

Another play that wasn't as big but I liked for the cool factor and baseball-IQ, was Bogie's play during a rundown where he stayed on the bag to tag the guy coming from 2nd then got the guy going home for a double play. Can't remember when or against who.

rick porcellos three run double against the nationals is definitelty up there for me lmao. I don't think ive ever said "what the f***" louder while watching a game

I am glad your memory is better than mine.

My most memorable images is of Porcello and Sale getting hits.

Some really cool, if un-celebrated moments.
