No real issue with Betts and Benintendi leading the way as usual, but it does remind of the old sea captain announcing to the crew that the floggings will continue until morale improves. In Mookie and Beni's case, the batting will continue until the results improve. Maybe a breakout game tonight.

Miami starter, Trevor Richards, pitched in the Independent Frontier League for the Gateway Grizzlies when my son worked for them. Richards has endured and he finally got a break, got signed by the Marlins and made the show. That is a feel good story but I hope he loses tonight. Or he gets a no decision and the Sox win.

Tonight is where the Moncada trade pays off when we gain a game on the yanks. C.C So-obese-io on the mound. Hopefully he gets 10 straight bunts and is so winded he is gone in the third.

Been a minor defender of Nunez for awhile because I think he's playing above his expectations. He rewards us with 2 HR's in 2 days. maybe Beni will get one soon too. Not holding breath.

It was a great at bat. He drew more than a third of all pitches to the lineup of the first 7 batters and he finished it off with a HR to tie the game. Nunez is starting to get back into the form that endeared him with Red Sox Nation last year.

Contradiction in terms there. If the Marlin hitters hit those balls harder, they are outs and the whole inning doesn't happen.
