What did the announcers think about the positioning of the Oriole catcher on Betts slide. People around me thought that he was blocking Betts’ path without the ball.

 

Sox announcers said nothing about it as I recall.

 

I would have to see it again to be sure but he was where the throw came in from what I DID see. If he was camping there prior to the thow arriving I was not able to see it on the replays.

 

I think it's just one of those baseball plays that you cringe at.

 

Betts left the game with a bruised left ankle and x-rays were negative. My guess is that he gets advanced imaging and a day off Sunday.

I see Joe Kelly is warming up. I gotta say, it is being unnoticed, but it is smart that Cora is pitching him in both these games since his appeal should be heard soon and he'll be suspended. Pitching in back to back games would mean he'll likely need a few days off anyway, which he can serve during the suspension.

It's very smart. Cora is prepping to lose Kelly for 6 games after his appeal. Use him while you can because I don't see Kelly's suspension reduced.

The lay out was amazing, but I don’t know if on TV if you could get a perspective for how far over he was in the gap. Off the bat, I thought he had no chance. I don’t know how he got to that spot. Amazing,but advanced metrics say that he is meh. Can’t argue with concocted stats.
