Astronaut or Professional Couch Sitting Athlete?

The commercials do make them look more sporty and comfortable.

I always wanted to be an astronaut.

Just need those Depends, some Tang and maybe freeze dried ice cream and you'll be good to go!

I can't do that. I don't even like that my satellite system gives me a 5 second or so delay from cable.

If you ever have occasion to be around the park while a game is in progress stop by that outside bar that's almost under the stadium. I forget the name of it now. It's almost surreal to hear the roar of the crowd and then look up at the tv's to see what's happened when the game is only a couple of hundred feet away.

You take bathroom breaks? You go before the game starts and that's it. Control your beverage intake and go if necessary between inning. And exercise some bowel control. For goodness sakes we are not 6 years old.

Lol.

With an enlarged prostrate and 40 mg of Furosemide very morning I piss every 30 minutes all day.

I watch every game but I do miss some plays!

Is Tang still available?

It was the rage when the space program was big in the 60s.

That bar behind the grate in the cf wall is actually quite good. Good selection of beers and good drinks and food.

Expensive too.

Yeah, but you're on record that we'll be lucky to win 86 games, so you've got no credibility anyway.

Would you rather win 86 with Verlander and have a chance at a championship or win 96 with this starting staff and be bounced again in round 1?

Another power arm DD missed was Cole this winter. Priceless!

You boys watch what happens this weekend in Houston. The weakness will be exposed

Do they close that bar when the game begins?

Sure, we can do this. Had too, make those Trades. had no Pitching. But still those Dead Money Contracts, and Bad Draft Picks, after really putting us in International Purgatory on signings was what did Ben in.

Benni was his best Draft pick, who is next?

As good as Cherington was he was equally as bad see 2013 Draft. At #7 the best player on the board per all scouts was AMeadows and he chose Ball? Priceless. Anyone check Meadows stats recently?

I am not sure. I was only there once in February 2011 with UN.

I am pretty sure they dont allow you to watch the game from there but as I said I am not sure. I do believe that it is open during games but only accessible via a door on Lansdowne St.

Gallon milk jugs can come in handy.

Yup. They’ve been selling it ever since.

Big win today.

ERod almost got through 7 innings. Looking sharp.

JMart doing what we all wished he'd do.

JBJ showing his hot streak is for real,

Nice to see Swi chip in with 2 hits, too.

Beni staying hot.

Keep it going guys!

I think they had an entire episode about piss jugs.

Yeah they have done a bunch of piss jug stuff.

I like the episode where Bubbles is preparing his yard for Steve Rogers to come over and highlight his new kitty baby sitting service. Ray or Ricky is throwing gallon piss jugs up into a tree.

That s*** is gold.

Cora has said that Swihart will get a start behind the plate next week. He can be a valuable bench player at the very least by playing LF, 3B, 1B and catching.

I think the frustratioin level on Vaz has risen more than Swihart's defensive stock.

Vaz looks lost on O and D.

i 100% believe the Red Sox are trying to pump back up Swi's trade value. if he can have some decent defensive games behind the dish DD can continue to empty our prospects.

Could be.

I wonder who the unlucky starter will be who draws the Swi as a catcher card.

Or maybe Cora realizes, as I have been maintaining for a long time, that it is time to see what Swihart can offer the team. He is going to be on the roster anyway it seems. He should be more than a wart upon the roster....its time for him to sink or swim.

My dream is intact: Benintendi could be the second coming of George Brett. That would be sweet.

At the beginning of the season, with Benintendi struggling, the comp was reduced to Ken Griffey Sr., not bad, but not as great as Brett.

Brett? That is quite a dream. I will settle for considerably less.

I'm pretty sure management already has a good idea of what Swihart brings on the defensive side of the catching position.

To me, it'a all about his bat. If he hits, he'll get more playing time.

If he hits very well, he may tip the balance on his poor defense to the point of being an overall net plus and could catch more and more. Vazquez hitting so poorly lowers the bar for that to happen to some extent.

I do wonder, if any pitchers have or will say, "Please- not with me."

perhaps we will see Chris Sale shake off a catchers pitch selection for the first time in 5 years?
