People are all over him, because he has a placid demeanor (like JD Drew) and some people think he doesn't give a s*** or something. i think his demeanor is perfect for a guy standing in the middle of the field with all eyes on him. I also think that he is working hard to figure out what is wrong. He has been working extra side sessions against hitters etc. Hopefully, he can figure it out. When he is right, he is very, very good. The one big thing that he hasn't had much of this year so far are the key DP balls. They not only help to get him out of jams, but they are very useful in keeping his pitch count down allowing him to go deeper into games. He needs to improve his command. That is clear. But he needs some help from the god of randomness too.

The concerning thing about his lack of command and dip in velocity is that it could be an indicator of an injury issue. If so, we will find out soon enough.

I hope it's not an injury. I was thinking it was just taking him a long time to get over the last injury.

I agree about the demeanor point.

It's way too early to give up on Pom.

Cora needs to get in an argument with Pom in the dugout after pulling him from a game.

That's what turned his season around last year.

Nope. You're wrong.

If any player on the mound shows less passion than Brad "The Animal" Lesley, it is because he doesn't care at all and would rather be wind surfing. It's a baseball fact....

Maybe you're on to something, but is that Cora's style?

Maybe Cora can do that out of the public eye and claim it was a DD move. That might get some traction here. lol

Warning: small sample sizess

Leon over his last 9 games:

10 for 27 (.370)

13 for 30 on base (.433)

JBJ over last 14 games

Maybe I’ll win the powerball lottery tonight!

Hope is usually not a good strategy!

Of course desperate dave wakes up every day and hopes John Henry never learns the definition of fraud!

You're very troll-like Larry.

You really equate the chances of these two guys hitting more like their career numbers than recent 8 week sample sizes to a lottery ticket?

Your a Power Pitcher short in the rotation.

Just imagine if this Team was not tax strapped and you added Verlander last season. The Team would be the clear cut favorite in the AL with Verlander this year. Thanks Ben

Yeah, but you're on record that we'll be lucky to win 86 games, so you've got no credibility anyway.

More fun winning without Verlander.

Thanks Ben for 51 million dollars (probably a little less, because Hanley did play some this year) of Dead Money. And its going to effect us next year. Still think we owe 5 million to Craig this year. Any money to me that is used on a Player that doesn't help the Team now, is Dead Money. Not looking at Luxury Tax. Edited by OH FOY!

Don't forget Rusney Castillo's money.

I did, if you add Porcello's contract, only one that is doing something, what's that in contracts for Hanley, Pablo, Rusney, Porcello, this year? Just in pay? They are getting paid by the Sox too. No way around it. Edited by OH FOY!

I see basically, Benni, Devers, Holt, Hembree, Wright, and Kelly as contributors from Ben. At what they are getting paid, not bad, now add the other Contracts. Edited by OH FOY!

I guess you don't count all the Ben players traded by DD for Sale, Kimbrel, Pom and others.

Sure, we can do this. Had too, make those Trades. had no Pitching. But still those Dead Money Contracts, and Bad Draft Picks, after really putting us in International Purgatory on signings was what did Ben in.

Benni was his best Draft pick, who is next?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't you also say that Kimbrel, and Pomeranz were over pays?

I respect Moon but I always hate him sitting on the fence.

Which trade would you undue?

I still think Larry was behind the sandavol and Hanley signings.

Hopefully at some point down the road, we find out which guy was the driver behind those signings,

You'll find out on Larry's death bed, if then. The Sox FO has followed the practice of Omerta since Henry's group bought the team.

That would be Kopech, whose has been indirectly helping this team being good enough to help get Sale. ...
