Quality Starts/ Games Started

(Listed at end--My modified criteria: games w 5+ IP 1 ER, 6+ IP 2 ER or 7+ IP 3 ER)

6/7 Porcello (7/7)

6/8 Sale (8/8)

Amazing how Sale and Porcello are 15 out of 15 in my modified formula.

1/1 Johnson (1/1)

3/6 ERod (3/6)

1/3 Pomeranz (1/3)

2/7 Price (3/7)

0/2 Velazquez (2/2)

Going by my modified criteria, Sale, Porcello, Velazquez and Johnson are a combined 18 out of 18.

The others are 7 out of 16.

All together, we are 25 out of 34 (74%).

I absolutely think Portland could snag a Floridian baseball team. I also think Vegas can snag one. There’s a real change the Rays will have to change their name after moving to the cloudiest city in America.

I think MLB’s push into Florida was ill conceived. Floridians that have time to watch games are retired from elsewhere, so there isn’t a draw to the local team. The born and bred locals have been going to spring training for a century now, so the teams ST home closest to these locals become the team’s they rooted for. Florida will never be able to be successful with a baseball club because of this. In the next 20 years, I expect both Floridian teams to move on

Compare the average monthly precipitation (in inches) for Portland and Boston during the baseball season:

March: BOS 4.33, PDX 3.66

April: BOS 3.74, PDX 2.72

May: BOS 3.50, PDX 2.48

June: BOS 3.66, PDX 1.69

July: BOS 3.43, PDX 0.67

August: BOS 3.35, PDX 0.67

September: BOS 3.43, PDX 1.46

October: BOS 3.94, PDX 2.99

... and the average total hours of sunshine:

March: BOS 214, PDX 191

April: BOS 227, PDX 221

May: BOS 267, PDX 276

June: BOS 287, PDX 290

July: BOS 301, PDX 332

August: BOS 277, PDX 298

September: BOS 237, PDX 236

October: BOS 206, PDX 152

Does the weather really matter? They could really build a domed stadium. ...

Domed stadiums aren't very popular, for whatever reason. Some franchises have even gone from dome to no dome.

Retractable roof the way to go in my opinion. Safeco has a retractable umbrella which just keeps the rain out and it’s open on the sides. I’ve never heard any complaints about it.

I think domes make sense economically.

Do you have any quantifiable statistical evidence to support this claim?

Gee let me go geek-out for an hour and get back to you.

I didn’t say rainiest. Turns out Seattle edges Portland by a hair

https://www.currentresults.com/Weather-Extremes/US/cloudiest-cities.php

That's only because of Portland's clouds from November through February.

Portland has more hours of sunshine (1,653) than Boston (1,596) during the average baseball season from April through September. Not to mention significantly less precipitation.

They shouldn't be popular where it's sunny. But they are certainly more popular than frequent rainouts...

Good for places with cold weather in the winter and no other indoors stadiums to host events.

Yeah, I agree with both of you

Edit: Whoops, I replied to read the thread on another page, I apologize)

Quite strange, but this is my first post and probably because I want to share my insights with you. You have my point here that the Path of Exile players are warming up. if you have the good and your loved ones in mind, maybe invest in a custom currency. Recently, exalted orbs and other slightly older PoE orbs have become very fashionable. Yes, it's something beautiful and every progamer waiting for a new league should get to know the best from suppliers. You can eat soup and schnitzel, but you can not eat poe orbs. Anyway, their name sounds strange, so it's better to take care of the poe currency farm http://odealo.com/games/path-of-exile I bpought my currency here (path of exile)

The Astros hardly ever open their dome. It's a great stadium.

The question who f***ed up the Rangers ballpark without a roof in Texas?

There getting a new one with a dome. I don't know if it is retractable.

The new ballpark in Arlington, Texas, will have a retractable roof:

I'm feeling old because I went to old Arlington Stadium in 1986 but have never been to the current ballpark, Globe Life Park.

In a similar vein, I went to the Minnesota Twins' first two stadiums but have never been to Target Field.

Holt is back and Lin down for lack of hitting. Hope Holt can produce.

Where will he play? Maybe for Nunez? Give Devers a day off after the Yanks?
