You got to get him over in a tie game.

He should have been over, it was bad base running by Leon. No secondary lead and didn't read Holt's chopper at all.

Edit - and Young made it a moot point.

Leon can't move at all right now. He has a bad knee and you could see how bad it was on that double he hit. He had a bad limp and looked in pain running.

Yeah, now that I think about it, you are correct on that.

I can live with that from Fister.

Definitely. I'm still not high on him,but cant ask for much more from a guy whose like our 8th starter and we expect the worst from.

Anything we can get from him is better than nothing.

I still like he just goes at hitters and doesn't mess around. I like his style.

In their last 30 games the White Sox are 4-26. Jesus this team sucks.

Yea.. that is just disgusting....... although watching this series it's not hard to tell why...

What a horrible f***ing call from the umpire. How does the dumb ass home plate ump make that call without being 100% sure?

Because he bet the under.

Dismal wasn't it?

Whats frustrating about Barnes is he's mostly good, but when he decides to have a bad game, it'll be a complete s*** fest, like 4-5 run, lose the game by himself s*** fest.

I was thinking about that earlier today. It must suck to be a White Sox fan. Especially with the Cubbies doing well. What are the chances of WS fans defecting? (Or is that like a Red Sox fan defecting to the Yankees?)

I'd rather have that from a reliever than have a guy who consistently gives up a run every other time out.

Happy Maine day Dewey.......

I think this is the day the New Hamshire spike their toll tax just to screw our kind over going to the game...

Thanks Sox. Now lets hope they hold on for the win.

NH does that? That's lame. :-(

Vaz is playing well. Leon may have been asked to take one for the team today. My guess is that we won't see him again for a bit.

Another good start for Fister and great hitting by a new/old contributor Young. Yesterday Beni and JBJ had the big dingers, today Young who had 5 of the Sox 6 rbi's.

Let's hope Kimbrel comes thru in the 9th.

Actually, Boston currently wins 56% of our games and Chicago 38%, which means the White Sox would normally be odds on to take at least 1 of the 4 games and not a bad bet (albeit odds against) to take 2 of 4.

If Fister has turned a corner, I like the Red Sox today. If not, today will be a challenge.

Turns out I was wrong--someone else pointed out the Chisox are 4-26 in their last 30 games.

Yankees have their game at Cleveland well in hand, so the margin should remain 3 games with us now going on the road.

I don’t like Barnes as much as Farrell does. Just don’t like his inconsistency.

Define what you mean by consistency (or inconsistency). And who would you have used in his place this year?

I find all the Fister hate amusing.

I agree. He's what, the #8 starter, and people here seem to think he's going to be Sale every time out. He is what he is. If they go .500 in his starts, he's done just fine at the back end of the rotation.

You really need to pay attention on what those hits are. A bunt (due to the shift), a hard hit double, a looper that landed in the infield where the shortstop normally plays (another shift hit) and a ground ball perfectly placed between Moreland and Holt. Not like he was giving up frozen ropes all over the yard.

Fister actually ended up pitching pretty well. I love how he gets the ball and pitches.

I hate Doug Fister as much as the next guy, but this thread is hilarious. He hasn't been THAT bad lmao.

LOL It is always funny to read the game threads after the fact. When we win, that is.

Not so much fun to read them after a loss.
