8/22 @ TB, Price v. Snell, the defining road trip's last stop, game 1

This is the game I've been waiting for from Price.

 

I hope he has made the adjustment and will be the ace we hoped and expected him to be.

 

Maybe Wright comes back strong, and we end up with 3 guys pitching like and ace and Pom & ERod pitching like solid #3s.

I've been exactly perfect in my critical analysis of Price all year..... and I agree......... great game..... great performance....... I hope he is sliding more to the Ace scale than mediocre....

I was already there before tonight. Not claiming a great rotation, mind you, but a decent one, even a good one. Whether or not Price is an ace, those five guys you named are a pretty high average. And, if Buch pitches well again tomorrow night, that's six.

Barnes is middle inning trash. I don't want to listen to crap about him being Kimbrel's set up guy. DD had better get another arm here for the 8th inning. Bring in Paps. His FB is gone, but he knows how to pitch and he has the balls not to be intimidated in the late innings.

I think folks are making a bit too much out of Barnes giving up 2 in the 9th. In that situation the cardinal rule is to throw strikes. And Longoria hits home runs against us in his sleep.
