Good hustle all around the bases by JBJ. First, getting into 2nd, and then again to score. Back to back games with a big hit for Aaron Hill.

Just throwing this out there......

What do you think about Vazquez's future in the MLB? I read he isn't hitting in AAA.

I so wanted to see him and Swihart succeed..... or at least one of them..

I've always preferred Swihart, even with the position change and his defensive struggles, I just think his bat is a lot better and his defense is more likely to improve than Vazquez bat improving. I'm just not sold Vazquez can hit MLB pitching.

Swihart has always been the player with the highest ceiling in my opinion.

In fact, I see him as the #1 prospect on the 40 man. And he has shown the ability to adjust at the plate against MLB pitching. He has great foot speed combined with gap / doubles power. The kid is one of the very best pure athletes on the team. But a couple of dropped pop-flies and well - he sucks, trade him!

The Sox will really regret trading this guy and most Sox fans who notice will eventually be f***ing pissed.

He is also seen as a leader among his fast friends on the team. I say that is one intangible that could really have a positive effect on the moral of the team going forward with even more youth.

That takes balls to say that. I really dug Swihart when he was up.

They were both kind of a disappointment this year..... not totally....... but loving some Leon hasn't been all that bad either...

Completely agree with you. I am completely for keeping Swihart. He is a great athlete, can hit and his defense behind the plate can be improved with more experience. I just think his ceiling is way higher than Vazquez.

Vazquez was a disappointment, I agree with that, but Swihart got injured on a very unfortunate play. Hard to hate on him much for that.

He got a raw deal on the defensive aspect I thought too...... Our pitching was horrid at the beginning of this year no matter who caught......

I've kind of forgot the guy since he's been injured......... but I really think he could be something real good....

And just to be clear - I'm not saying Vazquez sucks or anything, his bat is just a worry. I know his defense is "great" but his bat is awful and he's a huge black-hole at the bottom of the lineup. I do like Vazquez still and am not giving up on him, he seems like he works hard and I really like his intensity and hustle he plays with. He shows a lot of emotion and seems like a guy who is a good teammate.

Do you guys think Swihart has value outside of being a catcher......... I'm with you all............ I really liked his game last year....

Price is a problem. The FO and management need to do something about him.

Might as well move him to the pen, he sucks. I'd just pick up Buchholz option for next year now to assure we have our ace.

Plus the pitchers like him.

Same here. I loved how he worked the pitcher.... I hope he finds his swing.........

I liked seeing him behind the plate for sure........
