And the poor base running is biting us now.

We still have the lead, and we're not done scoring.

Barnes needs to stop the bleeding.

Remember that time I was stupid and thought we would win this when we were up 5 0

Quick, call the game!

Hopefully, they don't delay this until 3 am like the Yankee game a few nights ago. We have to suffer through Buch and Sullivan over the weekend.

Nerd alert in the booth.

Lol.

He did explain that while Dombrowski is known as a seller of prospects that he had never traded away anyone that amounted to much.

Those two base running blunders were sickening. Why does it happen so much?

If the Sox loose tonight it will be another few nails in the coffin for Farrell.

They have not been the highest scoring team in baseball for quite some time. And, what's wrong with getting better? A Betts/Papi back-to-back combo looks like it might have made a big difference in a bunch of the games played over the past 2 or 3 weeks. I probab;y would also take Pedroia and put him him lower. Like Holt, Bradley, Betts, Ortiz, Boegart, Pedroia, Ramiriz, Shaw and the catcher. Two "sluggers" ar 7 and 8, but with consistency where it matters most; up in the 3,4,5 spots.

It has always been obvious that JF has limited imagination. Re/Wright, I wonder he read the weather report. This is a repeat of his last game what with the weather being a factor in his ability to control the ball when its damp, rainy, etc. They just had a day off, he could have switched him with someone else.

The thing about line up changes is that they don't make as big difference as most people think they do. It's very likely that you end up doing more harm than good by taking batters out of their comfort zones.

Looks like the bloom is off the Steven Wright rose

The rain did him in. Couldn't throw the k-ball. Before that he was doing well

I'm no big fan of Farrell's any more, but I have no issues with his lineups. Moving guys around in the order a lot based on who's hot and who's cold is not a good idea, IMHO.

Fun crowd at the game. Only the hard cores are left at the stadium........ probably the drunks........ listening to them is fun...

I like how after the grand slam that happened due to leaving Wright in the game for too long, O'Brian said something along the lines of "And that opens up the door for questioning Mr. Farrell's decision to leave Wright in." Then Lyons criticizes Farrell to start off the rain delay stalling. It's kind of amusing when NESN turns on Red Sox leadership.
The cue comes from above. They may have the green light to go after him.
