Haven't you noticed the pattern of how players and managers exit Boston? Right before the axe drops the player or manager gets a lot of negative press which increases after they exit. It isn't a marching order or a formal cue or green light, but I think the Press picks up subtle signals around the organization regarding whether someone is out of favor. And when they are out of favor, it is open season on them.

I'm no big fan of Farrell's any more, but I have no issues with his lineups. Moving guys around in the order a lot based on who's hot and who's cold is not a good idea, IMHO.

I just wanted you to say it before I did. We could write volumes on this.... there is definitely a formula on how people leave here..... but I think sometimes the person leaving re-creates the formula.

 

I get that some/most are not liking Farrell. I'm not a fan, I give him a c-. But this s***** pitching staff isn't his doing....

We are living on the edge this inning. Farrell's job is on the line, because any loss gets traced back to the 2 base running outs in the same inning.
