Just got on the Mass Pike. I'm up in the corporate boxes tonight. My mother works at Aetna and its Aetna Night tonight... I'm hoping to get there early enough to get a Tek bobblehead.

Orioles lost 3 straight at home against the Jays, but they have been giving our guys a hard time for a long time. Tonight 6 lefties and 3 righties go against the Orioles righty Tillman: Betts, Pedroia, Bogaerts, Ortiz, Ramirez, Bradley, Young, Shaw (batting 8th!), Vazquez.

This is the first game of a 10 game home stand against the Orioles, Mariners, and White Sox--3, 3, and 4 games. Then no travel day to play at the Rangers and Rays home parks A total of 16 straight days of baseball to finish up the month of June with June 30 being an off day.

Good to have Price going tonight, but Tillman is pretty darn good too.

The Os are 2nd on the "Can't Stand" list, right behind the Yankees.

We must win. Get it done boys!

Go Sox!

Tillman also been pretty good overall against the Sox. He's 9-3 with an ERA under 3 vs. Boston and a lot of that 3 has come in a just a couple games.

Got my bobblehead. For those who care, I'm right under the Coca-Cola sign in LF, above the Monster seats... Alright, see you later.

Is it my imagination or do Sox opponents seem to hit an inordinate number of homers that wrap around the Peksy Pole?

That's at least the 3rd one the Orioles have hit alone against the Sox this year around the Pesky pole. Hardy hit two last time Orioles were in town and now Machado has one. Its really frustrating.

The human element!

It makes the game so much more enjoyable IMO. Despite a strike zone that is supposed to be consistent and universal, every umpire can have a different strike zone! It's even more fun when mid-game the umpire will decide "alright I'm changing my zone, good luck adjusting, and if you disagree, f*** you".

Shaw, Bradley and Hanley of course all slump at the exact same time.. and Vazquez I guess is slumping? I mean he sucks at hitting so I'm not sure what a hot streak for him is? going 3-12 over a 3 game span?

Of course then Price pitches s*****, we'll score him 9 runs, when Price is pitching great, we can't score a damn run. Baseball is such a weird unpredictable game.

Complaints about the ump are laughable. The simple fact is that Tillman shuts our guys down whenever there is an RISP. Men on first and second, and Bradley strikes out looking then Young swinging at the 3d strike. Later Ortiz comes up with Pedroia on 2B and strikes out swinging. Bradley has struck out twice and could easily strike out a couple more times.

Price, on the other, has pitched very well except that, the one time he gets a man on, he immediately throws a gopher ball to, wait for it, Machado.

So far the Orioles, especially Tillman, look tough, and our guys look like babes in the woods. Umpire, my aunt fanny--that complaint is the last refuge of fans of losers (in this game, anyway).

The only complaint was about a bad strike call to Bogaerts, which should've been a walk and clearly wasn't a strike, no one said it was costing the team the game or anything, but okay, thanks for the input.
