This one could be a nice pitching matchup

David Big Dick Price takes a 7-2 record and 4.88 ERA into San Fran to take on one of the best pitchers in baseball, Madison Bumgarner, who is 7-2 with a 1.92 ERA (and 3 homers at the plate).

This would be a nice sweep as we head towards a weekend series against the s*** of the AL, the twins.

I think the Giants win this one because of better pitching, and that makes last night's terrific win that much more important.

On the off chance someone is actually reading this thread, I offer a somewhat new thought--that Shaw is struggling right now in part because opposing pitchers have discovered his swing/stance are not good for hitting outside pitches. This was particularly noticeable last night. I'm not sure I'm right and welcome comments.

No max, you are right on Shaw. Hard stuff away, and especially up, is giving him fits right now and for the past few weeks. He needs stay on those pitches and even think left field on them.

He may need a day or 2 off to clear his head (frankly, tonight would not be the worst time for that with a very tough lefty going for the Giants). He has been in every game so far, and I think maybe started all but 1.

up and out he is cooked. now he needs to adjust. we all see it. so you know chili sees it. my guess is they will be setting the pitching machine for hard away and hard up.

SC gonna put us on a weiner streak. i mean...winning streak.....

It's time for Price to step it up and pitch like an ace.

Hanley needs to get his head out of his butt.

I want a win tonight, and won't settle for less.

Which type of DL? 15 days or 60?
I would imagine that it would be a 15 day DL. It has been reported that he had a setback, where he felt a pull in a BP session.

We are going to win this. The pitching matchup is tie, but we have way better offense.

Got to feel for Rutledge. 1 AB since May 29 (against a guy throwing 98) and then a start against one of the best in the game. The life of an AL bench player.

LOL!! The life of a bench player.

Mookie now has 14 homers and 11 steals. This guy is putting up an absurd stat line at the moment, he is actually the number 1 outfielder in fantasy this year ahead of guys like Trout, Harper, and etc

True but moreso for an AL guy. An NL guy figures to get a few ABs a week pinch hitting for pitchers or as a result of double switches.

That is what Young is paid to do --hit top LHP.

The last numbers I have in mind are that he is OPSing something around 800? Didn't see that coming.
