Does anyone care that Moncada was on Snapchat during the game while in the clubhouse?

It is possible that this kid is a clueless idiot like Rusney is. If he is an airhead, the FO had better figur it out while his trade value is in the stratosphere. Rusney would have to be given away at this point.

If true (and I've seen nothing other than mvp saying it), it does put him in the running for airhead status. I would hope that Señor Ortiz has had a chat or 2 with him. If he won't listen to Big Papi, then he is definitely an airhead. I would also consider sending him home if incidents like this continue.

There's a lot of issues about Moncada that I care a lot more about right now. Seems to me that if you want to obsess about Snapchat of all things, you're looking for an excuse to be irritated. Worry about his baserunning gaffes, worry about his lack of polish, that's fine. Let Farrell worry about dugout discipline.

The strike outs don't bother me; that's physical. Mental errors like forgetting the number of outs or sitting in the clubhouse on snapchat during a game do bother me. You would think he'd be lapping it all up on his first trip to a major league dugout, not lounging in the clubhouse during a pennant race. If he's that disconnected, there is a problem.

Hogwash. His ability to recognize and prioritize his actions as an adult and as an employee are key to his viability. If he is an all around lunkhead or immature we should care. A Lot.

We were having issues at 3rd base and he was the #1 rated rookie so we brought him up. When he was brought up we thought he might be green defensively and might show some immaturity, but we thought he could hit, along with the coaches and other so called rating experts. What has happened is that he has seemed to lack focus and he definitely has not been able to hit major league pitching. The verdict is out on his ability to adapt, but clearly he is not going to help in this pennant race. I sincerely hope that he can adapt to the pitching and make a step forward net season. Even that is in question at this date.

I saw the posts. Absolutely zero verification, just one person claiming it was during a game. The pic is of him in a red sweatshirt. I doubt it was actually during the game.

I'm not a fan of his at all. But I don't remember any talk of him being an idiot. He just can not hit MLB pitching. Waste of money.

Rusney is a bust. He couldn't couldn't get called up during Beni's injury..... He's a bust. He doesn't have a sense of the MLB game. That goes for base running, throwing to the cut off man. We all get fooled in BP when scouting and body muscle mass type of stuff. When you have a 10 cent brain the rest doesn't matter. Plus if Farrell is still the manager here, he is never going to get called up..... I like players that are sound like Pedy that eat and drink baseball. When losing bothers them. That get pissed when they lose.

He wasn't on the 40 man roster, or they might have used him over Brentz. They don't want his salary being counted against the luxury tax.
