I wanted to start this one. I'll be in the East Coast in Portland in the great State of Maine for this one and the series. There is something right about being home while playing the Yankees, and I will have some good chatter with my family and home state folks about the Sox this weekend. Which is something I don't get very much besides this site.........

So........ without further ado.......................

(1.0, 2.92) M. Tanaka

vs.

(0.0, 8.10) H. Owens.

It's still the Yanks...... let's beat these cheesedicks to a pulp...................

Tanaka's numbers vs our current lineup:

ERA 7.13

Gsc 41

OPS 743

K/BB 4.25

We need to score soon and as many Rs as possible. I didn't like Owens in his last start.

I'm pretty sure it's going to be on the MLB Network tonight and tomorrow night. Most of the time they show the home team's broadcast. FYI.

Slash, try Strikeout.co not .com For games not against the EE. Sometimes it is slow. You DO NOT have to sign in, no matter what the little windows say. It isn't always the best, but bettah than nuthin ...

I live in the land of the enemy as well.

Hey SY. i have the MLB extra innings package through Directv (since 1999). so i get the NESN feed for 144 games a year. the 18-19 games they play the MFY they blackout NESN and force me to watch the game on YES since i am considered NY home team location.

Because his last start was 1.2 innings and 7 ER. Means nothing.

well, his prior start against NY he had these numbers; 5 IP, 3 ER. 5 SO/BB.

If you want to consider only this start, ok.

Hopefully he give us a QS.

That's how it is for me for the O's games, but I have Verizon. Unbearable having listen to Gary Thorne and Jim Palmer when he's in the booth. UGH!

Yeah this is awful. I live in MD and orioles announcers might actually be worse than YES.

When you look Papi's line, it is still elite. Is it going to last all season long or something around that? Idk but If so, JH should convince him to stay another year.

Owens is one of the most puzzling guys I have seen. Two legitimate swing-and-miss pitches (breaking ball, changeup) he can throw for strikes consistently, yet he can't command his fastball. That makes no sense.

Honest question, does Owens really has potential to be a starter?

If he can advance his fastball command, a good one. Otherwise, no future.
