JBJ should get extra credit for being with his wife during their daughter's delivery.

He also gets extra credit for being the father of a newborn.

Ellsbury is coming back a little. I read something recently, albeit written in April, in a NJ paper that the real comparison should be Ellsbury vs. Cano because it was Cano's departure for Seattle--I think their offer was $240M for 10 years--that caused the Yankees to spend big on Ellsbury. Right now Cano is having a heckuva year.

maybe that tracker is being done on a NYY fan website. it certainly helped JE that JBj missed a handful of games on Paternity.....

JBJ has had two spectacular offensive months in the majors, a few pedestrian months and some real clunkers. Ride the wave when he's hot.

The good news is that the two spectacular months were only a few months apart.

So true. He leaves me wondering what a realistic expectation from him is.

Since Bradley cost the red Sox nothing, maybe the more appropriate comparison would be Ellsbury vs. Castillo.

if Castillo was the Red Sox centerfielder that would be my Tracker. but since he signed with the EE, it has always been JE v RS CFer.

Contract / $$$ has nothing to do with my point system. although every once in a while i do like to point out the avg cost per point. personally i would have let JE walk for $90MM let along the $153MM that the yankees paid him. the fact that we have a chance to come out on top for 2 out of the first 3 years of his 7 year contract with a player making basically league minimum is pure gold. and i dont expect JE to improve his chances in future years as he ages.
