In 3 innings, Rutledge has already made two solid defensive plays, gotten a super nice hit, and slid safe into second while his helmet fell off, revealing his epic hair for the first time as he hair flipped while standing back up on the base. Who his this guy?? If Rutledge turns out to be legit, Sandoval becomes extremely unneeded.

He's been around for a while. He's an older AAAA player. Nothing special. He's not Brock Holt.

I'm ecstatic that Buchholz threw 5 scoreless! Current progress in our starting rotation becoming good this year:

 

Price is good

Buchholz is probably good

Kelly might be good

Porcello is good

Wright is good

 

We know our offense is nothing to worry about. We are close to becoming a solid bet to make the playoffs. Even if we lose, a great Buchholz start is all we needed here.
